Extremely pleased with my experience! Needed to get the car in for a general high-mileage check and service, but had sustained damage to the AC condenser requiring it's replacement. They were able to schedule me quickly and established clear expectations around timeline and response. The staff is conscientious and knowledgable, keeping good communication throughout the repair process. They were also proactive in searching for quality, cost-effective components and installing them in a professional, budget-conscious manner. I had some general concerns regarding some parts (brakes, filters, etc.) and had them inspected. The staff was honest and open, providing a comprehensive review of those components that required replacement, and those still in working condition. After receiving a quote for all necessary work, and some that was recommended, (but not immediately needed), I called around to other shops in the area for price comparisons. In doing so, I learned that Import's pricing is competitive and market reflective, coming in substantially lower than others. I haven't had any issue on my a/c since. Customer service is fantastic! They were very helpful from front desk to their mechanics. The front desk followed up on my other car issue that I didn't have time to wait for them to troubleshoot. I didn't expect that. My brakes were warped due to uneven wear of the brake pads on the rotors and I thought they needed to be replaced. Steve was the guy who gave me a quote to replace the rotors and pads. It was a very reasonable price! I dropped off my car there everyone there was very respectful. He called me an hour later saying there was a lot of life left on the rotors and pads and instead of replacing them he can just resurface them. It was considerably cheaper! I bought a car from import auto sales which is incorporated with import auto technicians. Driving home my daughter said the car would not excel Correctly. I had it looked at at by an independent garage and they found the transmission switch was bad and it had an obvious error code and the front wheel bearings were bad. I called the dealership they arranged for me to take the car to import auto technicians, and upon our arrival we were met by RUDE RUDE RUDE staff. They were obviously called on the shotty workmanship. They supposedly fixed these things, but we were provided no paperwork of the work completed or parts replaced. As a military member and healthcare professional, I was not impressed. DO NOT BUY FROM IMPORT AUTO SALES OR HAVE YOUR CAR FIXED AT Import auto technicians. Life is too short and there are far too many garages in Colorado Springs, Don't settle on being treated disrespectfully. read more

My family and I recently took a trip to Colorado Springs. My car started to over heat and Import Auto Technicians was recommended to me by the hotel we were staying at. I spoke with Steve the manger and he got us in right away they found the issue, a cracked radiator, I explained we needed to head back to Texas that same day. At the recommendation of several friends, I contacted Import Auto to take a look at the engine functioning on my car. I don't know much about cars, and the man who answered my questions, Steven, was most patient and kind, even with multiple calls and follow-up questions from me. They provide shuttle service, with pick-ups ad drop-offs as needed. They assessed my car thoroughly and did an honest assessment (detected no problem.) I appreciate that they did not try to do unnecessary repairs and they took care of another problem I identified at a reasonable price. Since they weren't able to wash my car after servicing it by the time I arrived, I was given a complimentary car wash from another local business. These will be my go- to guys due to their courteous and honest service. I highly recommend them. read more

Heads up Mini Cooper owners!!! We have finally found a totally reliable service center in the Springs for our Mini Me that we trust and who perform excellent work. Not only friendly service and two certified Mini techs, but information provided regarding future service needed that's not an issue we need to deal with this very moment. When you can get your car running well with $700, and not the typical $2-3K at the Mini dealership, you're in a position of reasonable maintenance at a stage most can afford. We found the entire experience professional and trustworthy. We look forward to our next visit when Mini baby needs her yearly and a few tweaks. We were travelling through Colorado Springs from Texas on our way to Loveland, CO during a severe snowstorm when our window washer system froze up. We thought we were going to be stranded there in Colorado Springs, and by chance ended up stopping in front of the Import Auto Technicians garage. I didn't think of asking for help at the garage because they were an import only shop and we were driving an old Dodge Caravan. But we were kind of desperate, so we decided to ask the folks there for help. Well, they unfroze the system and sent us on our way, and to top everything off, they didn't charge us a dime. I drive an 07 Mini Cooper. I moved back to Colorado Springs in 2012 so I needed a new place to bring my car (I had been taking it to the Mini dealer in Loveland). My friend recommended this place where he had been bringing his BMW for years. They have always been fair and honest. I trust them when they say something needs to be repaired, or when they say I am good to go! They always check the car over to make sure nothing else needs attention. Then, before giving you the car back, they give it a car wash! My car always drives better, and looks better after bringing it here. I moved to Denver a few months ago and was sad because I didn't know where to take my car. It took Ralph Schomp of Littleton (where we bought the car) 1 time to make me so angry and frustrated that I now make the drive to come down and have Import Auto fix it all. Today, I brought my car in because a service light had come on and my heat was not working. When I called to see if they had figured out what was causing the problem (I was anxious and impatient), I got a real person on the phone who put another real person on the phone who told me exactly what the status of my car was. None of the "let me take your name and number". Live people, on the phone, every time, and they were busy today. Turns out that it was going to be a fairly expensive repair, and the ride I had arranged to get back to the shop fell through. That's okay! They have a shuttle service, and its free! They came and picked me up so I didn't have to worry about how I was going to get there to pick my car up. When I got the bill, I even got a pleasant surprise of a coupon being applied for me! It saved me $35 which I am always grateful for. I won't go any where else. Fair prices and good people here. It's more than worth the drive from Denver. read more

Car had a heater hose leak the next day, Steve took it back in and gave us a loaner car for the weekend at no charge and then did not charge us for the hose repairs. A coworker who has used Import Auto Technicians (IAT) with success in the past recommended them to me when I was experiencing car trouble. They attempted to diagnose my problem, but weren't sure of the issue. They sent me to a specialist to eliminate a possible cause. When the specialist confirmed that it wasn't that issue, IAT didn't try to sell me an expensive job that may or may not have solved the problem. Instead, they asked me to come back when the issue was a little more noticeable. Soon enough, I went back, they nailed the diagnosis, and repaired it quickly, completely, and at a fair price. If I had listened to the first couple shops I tried, I would have spent $4000+ on a major repair I didn't need. I'll go back to IAT and recommend them to friends. read more
