Solid shop. Anthony and his crew communicate extremely well and won't find any unnecessary work to be done in order to charge you more.

I was recommended by some friends to come to this shop for my first time and I came down Sunday to…read morerequest some tires for my classic car. I was told the tires would be there Monday at noon. On Monday I called to make sure the tires were there and I was told my front tires were there but the rear tires were still in transit and would be ready when the front tires are getting installed. I arrived everything was explained and I was hoping everything would be fine. 1 hour later I was told that only my rear tires were at the shop and the fronts were still in Denver. I asked if we can install the rears and when the fronts come in, I'll come back and we can install those. The employe told me it would be better to do all four tires which is understandable, I also asked if it's possible to pay for the tires that were available and I'll take it to where I work at to install them myself which was at Toyota. I got no real good response. He eventually said "what I can do is give you a ride back to Toyota and you can leave your car here overnight and we will have done by tomorrow morning." I have a 1973 Chevy Nova Im not leaving it over night in a area that I've been told is rough area. Regardless of the problem my car is rear wheel drive, getting the rear tires installed should be fine. Asking to buy the tires that are available should and to have them installed later or elsewhere should be fine but asking a customer to leave their car at a shop where they haven't paid for any service yet is a red flag in my book.

Silas didn't explain to me the final cost of the oil change, so I was a little surprised when he told me that they had to use to higher priced, high mileage, synthetic oil (which is $30 more expensive). The waiting room was fine, and they had a TV playing AFVTV which was interesting. The location is convenient, the parking seriously needs to be repaved, there was plenty of parking, they were open a couple minutes before 8am (thank you), there was free WiFi, and the employees welcomed me in and were friendly and efficient.

Very scammy. I…read morerequested my oil changed, and they came back with an immediate $4,000+ quote on all these "immediate" and "necessary" fixes. They did not show me any of these fixes and when I told them I recently got a vehicle inspection, which showed no needed repairs, the front desk lady shrugged. She suggested I start now with a few thousand dollars of repair and keep coming in for more, I told her I'd think it over and come back. I decided to take it to Pep Boys down the street, and gave them the estimate for the repairs. They reviewed everything and only suggested a battery replacement (~$200) in the next twelve months. Everything else was normal wear and tear, or a lie. Pep Boys was so much better, they even showed me photos and explained how I did not need any of the services Brakes Plus suggested. I normally wouldn't write a review this bad, but my boyfriend and I have both been to Brakes Plus twice (four times total) - and they've tried forcing us into unnecessary repairs. Not only this, I had a $50 coupon off any service, and they only gave me $30 off. Safe to say, Brakes Plus is pretty scammy, go down the road to Pep Boys for a more honest look on your vehicle.

I've been going to this business since 1999 for repairs and tires. The previous two managers made…read moresure the shop ran efficiently and honestly. For the last several years, the customer service has declined and everything is about an up-sell. Yesterday was the final straw. I had my car in for work and was asked if I wanted to have the cabin air filter changed. No big deal until I discovered they charged me $30 in labor to change it. It's a two minute job. On top of that, I had a coupon that I had to fight with Scott to honor. Fortunately Matt stepped in to let me use it. I no longer trust what they tell me and will not be taking my vehicles to this shop anymore. I recommend you look elsewhere. They have become pricey and up-sell everything.

Well... I'm a big softie for good customer service, and it makes me weak in the fancy new…read moresynthetic knees when I get taken care of right. I'm also a sucker for big turbodiesels and the old dump truck motors in early Powerstroke Fords. So when it came time to send my favorite big girl on her way (damn diesel F-250 was worth too much NOT to sell it), one of the boys down at the fleet depot said to try this shop he's used for years - this Best West joint. You see, the big girl had an intermittent problem that I couldn't track down, and it needed mending before any cash exchanged hands because I hadn't listed "intermittent problems" in the truck's features when I listed it. I shuffled on down there (maybe it was a trudge, or a trundle), and presented them with my problem, and went on my way with assurances they'd have an estimate within a day. When that estimate came back, let's just say "Whoa" - thousands of dollars in repairs needed for what seemed to me to be either a switch or a short. I'm no an expert with the big Fords like I am the small ones, but though I may have been born at night, it wasn't last night. ...Though it might have been in the morning. Flaming monster freaky huge estimate in hand, I visited another local truck shop that's on the Front Range (ahem...), told them what was what, and they had the damn thing fixed before I found where the relatively lousy coffee was in the waiting room. ...Turned out to be a maxi-fuse that Ford had seen fit to hide away from everyday operators like myself. On the plus side, so much for the thousands in dollars of repairs Best West wanted to make. Also, I kind'a wish I'd found it myself - Mr. Fuse was a stealthy little bugger. On another note, I've bumped my review to two stars (say it: two!) because some weenus decided to mask-shame this shop because they didn't telepathically pre-honor Mr. Weenus's undiagnosed paranoia. Grow up, people. Mr. V.
