I have purchased many products, for my home and business, through imperial window and door, and the experience has been good, until now. We ordered windows, for our house, five months ago. For some reason, they kept bringing us a scratched up window, for one of our rooms. So, we would not accept them. After the second time, Bob called and was basically telling me that he didn't believe me. He told me that the next window would probably be scratched up, too. So, Imperial Window sells scratched windows? Not good! Bob was very rude and demanding to be paid for the job, eventhough it was not complete. People beware! This business will sell you scratched windows, and if you don't accept and pay for them, they will call to harrass until you do. I won't do business with them again. read more

Buyer beware! We had our shower door and a front door installed on two separate occasions. The first time with the shower door, one guy showed up and could not complete installation alone. He had to wait 2 hours for the other guy to show up. They ended up being here all day. On top of that, the door was installed, but part of the fixtures are crooked. The guy said it was because he tried his best to install that oart before the other guy but the glass was too heavy. Seems like a really easy fix, dont do any work til you have the appropriate amount of people to do the job. Second time a similar issue with the first guy showing up and the second taking 2 hours to join him. All the while out front door has already been removed and its November and cold. When the second guy showed up he was on his phone for a bit before he started helping. Once they started, apparently our doorframe wasnt level, fair enough, but they made a huge mess of the installation. The chipped several spots on the newly painted door, tore up the doorframe and trim and just slapped it back on when they left, and the door wasnt centered in the opening. We expected it to be a bit messy as we knew we would have to hire stucco guys to fix the outside, but its like they didn't even care. Like we could see the outside and feel air coming though. Then then never even bolted down the outside doorhandle so it was just swinging there and made more scratches. My husband spent the weekend cleaning up the mess, patching and caulking, reinstalling the trim, foam filling in the gaps on the sides of the door and painting. When my husband called about it they were rude and short with him saying he said to leave it that way, unacceptable. You would think if your company specializes in doors and windows they should be really good at it. Nope. I guess in a small town they know they have a captive audience, but next time we will get a professional from St George to come up as we have had good experiences with that in the past. read more

Just moved to cedar city a few months ago looking for some one to replace our back door with a doggie door they said four to 6 weeks and no customer service at all after about three weeks called to see how things are going the manager named Brice said he would called me back never did I went there to the shop few days later they said the wrong door was brought in and they didn't have time to call and told us the door that arrived wrong had been there for 2 weeks I asked why we weren't called they said they were to busy so they ordered another one arrived and was to short believe that after all they came out and measured the door So we need another door to be done and will hire a different company called elite door company that was started because of the bad work from imperial window and door has done on cedar city so I would use imperial for anything except there car window replacement that.part of the company is good I think the kid brice grandson of the owner needs training on how to treat people and call your customers to let them know what is going on and not lie to people if this keeps up you will lose your business trust me I khow read more

I recently contacted Imperial Window & Door for a garage door opener repair. The woman who answered the phone took my number and stated a technician would contact me. The following day I received a call from their rep, that I unfortunately missed by a few minutes. I promptly called back, got a voicemail & left a message for a call-back, which I did not receive. A couple days later I contacted the store & was told that their " scheduling supervisor John" would be contacting me. Several days went by with no contact, nor did anybody ever call back. Finally went with one of their primary local competitors a couple weeks later, who did respond and do the work promptly. If this level of Imperial Window & Door customer service is any indication of the quality of work they perform, I doubt I would want to hire them anyway. read more

We are very disappointed with this place. We ordered our door 6 weeks ago and have been asking and asking for a eta on installation but keep getting the run around. When we order we were told 4 weeks to get our new door installed 6 weeks worse case scenario. No one calls you to let you know what's going on and when you do get the owners son he says they have been so busy so the small jobs get put on the back burner. There should be a way to give zero stars. 1 is inaccurate. I got all new windows from imperial. They miss measured which delayed the install by 2 months. They finished the windows in July instead of May. Then after 2 weeks they sent my bill to collections. I called them to see when they were going to come fix my windows because several leaked whenever it rained and ask why they would send the bill to collections when the invoice said I had 30 days from completion to pay. Bob promised to have someone come the next day to fix them so I paid the bill even though experience says once a bad company is paid they dont fix anything else. Shockingly they did not show up the next day. Then they sent me a $2,151 new bill for them sending my bill to collections early. I think it was retaliation for opening a claim against them to the better buisiness bureau. I called multiple times and they would not return my call. We were looking into lawyers to resolve this when BBB told me to contact Consumer Protective Services. here is there info. consumerprotection.utah.gov/consumers/ 801-530-6601. If you use this company you will need this info. After they were contacted by the state they were all too willing to answer my call (though they did not call me) and repair the multiple leaking windows and wave the trumped up fees. You may want to save your self some time and use Jones Paint and Glass. read more

I'm stunned but not shocked at my latest transaction with this company. Lesson learned... There are enough Window and Door companies that deliver on their quoted prices - I'd go elsewhere. I agreed to their initial quote. I also agreed to this companies increased second quote. Bear in mind this increase was made after I called back adjusting the dimensions of the piece of glass - a literal 1/8 of an inch. Now one week later - the delivered price is nothing more than a typical - Screw job. This is a small town. I should be saying how nice it was to deal with a quaint small town glass shop. NOT THE CASE. If I have learned anything here in small town Utah - get a second or third quote. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, St.George Utah companies travel and deliver to Cedar City, all the time. I wouldn't be so upset except in this instance had I known the actual final price up front, I would not have used this company. I had a well known, highly reputable, St George Glass Company already lined up. As long as money is still green - I'd go elsewhere. read more
