This definitely should have been caught on a home inspection.

HOWEVER, I have had 3 other companies tent my home & talked with many friends about this over the years, and Bowman is the ONLY company that actually did it correctly. The whole point of tenting is for the gas to penetrate deeply into the joists and studs. That's where the mosquitos are breeding. So, unless there is a very tight fit along the ground and around the house , the tenting is useless and the gas all leaks into the atmosphere. Thousands of dollars for nothing! Bowman is the ONLY company that made sure ( a guy came out 3!! times to check before the actual tenting), that I had followed their instructions to make sure that the "snake" that holds down the tent would be a tight fit. Each time, he walked the path with me, pointing out problem points. I needed to pull out weed bushes and move lava rocks so that the "snake" could lie flat. I also had to smooth out the ground somewhat (and it's very uneven here in South Kona). It was a huge but necessary hassle. Why pay thousands of dollars it you don't prepare the ground correctly? Bowman did bring a lot of sand to help with this task but my ground is uneven enough that it required extra work. NO OTHER COMPANY that I've heard about goes to this much trouble to do it correctly. I have talked with sooo many people about this. So, while I, too, wish that the termite companies were better at cleaning up afterward, their main job is kill the nests of termites. And Bowman will do that.

After he completed the inspection we did a thorough walk through of the house as he explained the good and bad of his findings. He answered all our questions and provided a very in-depth report before the end of the night. We felt very well taken care of and will be recommending Luke to anyone that needs any house inspection done.

An area that helps the buyer in determining the purchase is the home inspection. We contracted Pacific Inspection Group to help us with the home inspection and lead paint testing. Our decision to go with this company were three fold. The first was the positive reviews on Yelp. The second was their ability to do the certified home inspection and lead paint testing. And third, the quick response and service they provided. They were able to do the home inspection within the timelines. Tom (owner) was quick to answer our many questions. He was able to schedule our inspection within our timeline and assigned Scot who did the inspection of this home. The report was done electronically. It was thorough with descriptors, pictures, and standard grading. The report summarized marginal areas that would need addressing. Pacific Inspection used a systemic approach in their assessment. Scot called me after completing the inspection and went over some of the findings. He also shared the lead paint sampling and where he took them. We received an official home inspection report that evening. The lead paint sampling was sent out to a Pro-Lab site in Texas. That test took about two weeks. We are happy with the service that Tom and Scot at Pacific Inspection Group provided. We would highly recommend them to family and friends who are in need of a home inspection. We know they would provide a honest and thorough inspection of the home.
