The last winery was our favorite. Rolf is a friend of the owner so we got a private tour and everything. He made a pit stop for us and everything. He knew a lot about the area and which wineries would be the most impressive. He was very sweet and professional and we felt that we were old friends instantly. The limo was great. A white stretch limo. He showed up with waters stocked and a bottle of champagne. We got to play all of our music through a USB that hooked up to our iPods. The best part about the service is that it is extremely affordable. When I asked why it was less expensive then all the other limo services out there he said he just really wants people to become repeat costumers. Which I thought was strange but, did understand. We had a flat, which I know happens. But, we didn't get a stretch limo but a town car. Which meant i sat up front. Rolf was wonderful. On September 3, 2011, I purchased a special offer (via Trubates, now defunct) for a chauffeured limo tour of wine country, replete with a complimentary bottle of champagne. My elderly parents were coming into town from the Midwest, and they had never been to wine country, so I splurged for this trip. We were really excited about it. Because my folks were only going to be here for a few days, I had called in advance of my purchase to verify that we could arrange the tour for a specific weekend. The owner confirmed that the date of Saturday, November 5th was indeed available, so I went ahead and booked it. He also explained that the tour included visits to three wineries, and outlined which ones those were. About six weeks later, on Oct 17, I received a voice-mail message from this same owner, saying that we would have to "reschedule the tentative date" we had set for the tour, as his company didn't have enough cars available for November 5th. I called back and reminded him that the date had NOT been tentative, and that changing it wasn't an option. After a number of telephone calls back and forth, the owner finally said that he would arrange for "one of his affiliates" to take us on the planned tour on the previously agreed upon date. That seemed fine to me, although in retrospect, I probably should have asked more questions about the arrangement. Fast forward to November 5th. The car arrived right on time, and the driver, whose name was Brock, was extremely professional and a really neat guy. (The extra star is for him... otherwise this would be strictly a one-star review). The car was not a limo, however, but a Lincoln Town Car. It was perfectly nice, but not what I had paid for, and not what I had promised my parents. I could tell my Mom was disappointed, even though she worked hard to hide it. (She is in her mid 70s, and has yet to ride in a limo.) Due to limited space, one of us had to sit up front with the driver at all times; not exactly the "limousine" experience we've heard about. Through no fault of the driver's, it had not been communicated to him exactly where we were going. Fortunately I remembered the names of the wineries, and he was able to look up their locations; he was well equipped with a GPS. But he knew nothing of the complimentary bottle of champagne included in the offer. We never did get that. We ended up having time to visit only two wineries, rather than three, because it just wasn't feasible to travel the distance required to visit all three growers in the time Imperial had allotted (5 hours, I think). This was disappointing, but certainly not the end of the world. It bothered me mostly because it was contextualized by so many other false promises and unprofessional behavior on the part of the ownership. I really wish this had been a better experience. I don't like writing negative reviews... makes me feel like a big meanie. But it just isn't cool to make a promise to offer one service at a given price, and then provide something lesser in its place. In fact, I think there's a name for that routine. I hope Imperial Chauffeur has gotten its act together since the fall of 2011. Because if this was an "imperial" experience, we were cast as mere serfs in the king's empire, and I didn't need to pay several hundred dollars to be reminded of that. read more

I read previous reviews and to be honest, was hesitant at first to go with them but I'm so glad I did! I used their services for my bday 1/25/14, a day in the wine country. Rolf suggested great wineries, but being from the Napa area I already had my itinerary in mind so I chose the three wineries I wanted to go to myself. Bottom line? Rolf showed up with a beautiful, white, stretch limo exactly on time. We knew he was coming because he was in constant communication letting us know where he was. He continued to stay in communication throughout the day. He was always very professional and a nice guy. There were six of us celebrating three of our birthdays. We were promised a bottle of champagne, which was delivered. However we had expected an "inexpensive" bottle of champagne, so we brought two of our own. As it turns out, the champagne was VERY good. So we drank three bottles of champagne in addition to the tastings at the three wineries we visited. Rolf had our music plugged into the limo's sound system which worked very well. "There were several problems with this service. The first was that though we contracted with Bay Limousine, they subcontracted the job out to another limo service in the East Bay without our knowledge. Our event was in San Francisco and the limo got caught in traffic missing the pickup time altogether. The second problem was that once the limo driver met us, she did not have the skills to be driving the limo nor did she know how to get to the second location and ended up having to follow another car there. In addition, the driver was not dressed appropriately. Since this event was a wedding, it could have caused all sorts of stress and drama. What prevented it was the calm head of the bride and having two cars available to get the job done. FYI, I WON'T be using them again!" read more

Amazing weekend in Napa thanks to Rolf! My boyfriend found him through Living Social but because we wanted to book multiple services we called him directly to set everything up. He was very accommodating and ended up taking us on 2 day trips- the first to wineries we picked and the second to wineries of his choice. All of the wineries he chose were amazing, the employees took great care of us as they knew him well and we really enjoyed it! One of my favorites was Artesa, the view of Napa Valley was amazing! During the trip he planned, he also picked a great little place for us to stop for lunch (sorry I cant remember the name). They also knew him well; food and service was great! In February of 2013, I purchased a Living Social deal for a limo ride for up to 6 people being driven to 3 Napa Valley wineries for 5 hours by Imperial Chauffeur Services (ICS). The deal also came with a bottle of champagne; and we could purchase additional hours of ride for $75/hour. We were also told we had to provide a $75 gratuity to the driver up front. The deal was at a reasonable price (half-price I believe); so my husband and I split the cost with another couple. I called to schedule the date for the winery visits. The company was relatively flexible and accommodated us within a month of my call, although the original dates I requested were "all booked up". I learned the winery locations were predetermined, and we would need to visit the 3 wineries in the amount of time agreed to up front. These things we knew up front. We were all very excited to set off on our 'excursion'. When the car arrived, it was not a limo, it was a Lincoln Town Car. The offer that I purchased clearly stated a "5 hour ride in a limo"; so needless to say we were disappointed. I should have guessed when the ICS employee with whom I spoke on the phone kept asking me how many people were coming on this excursion; that he was asking so he could provide us with a smaller vehicle (not what was promised in the offer that we purchased). The 4 of us squeezed into the Town Car; and I had to sit on the middle 'hump' each direction, which got quite uncomfortable. One of the couples did not even get to sit together, and of course one of us had to sit in the front seat. The 3 of us in the back seat were constantly bumping into each other and stepping on each others' feet. On the positive side, the driver (Haskell) arrived in a timely manner and was very polite. He assisted us in and out of the car and with all of our belongings. He offered good suggestions about a different winery that none of us had ever visited or heard of. We ended up enjoying this winery so much, that we stayed additional time there, and only made it to 2 wineries instead of 3. We did also make 1 other stop at a market (which we had requested). Additionally- we did purchase an extra hour for $75. It is a good thing we did, because we barely had time at the third stop (the second winery) to taste anything. Overall- the best part of this deal from ICS was the driver (and, at our expense, the additional hour we bought). The vehicle that showed up was not what was advertised or promised in the deal. We could have driven our own vehicle(s); had the convenience of leisurely time, more space, and saved the $330 for the "limo". However-- the basic parts of the committment were completed and we had a lovely day in Napa Valley. read more

I was so excited when I saw this offer on Groupon. I quickly purchased the deal of the day:$119 for roundtrip limo service to /from the airport. I spoke with a rep from the limo company about a month after I purchased the deal. Unfortunately, the rep didn't have anything to write my information to reserve my limo. He told me to call the next day to provide him with my flight info. I did but to no avail. From that point forward, no live person ever answered the phone nor returned any of my messages. Between myself and my assistant, we must have called at least 8-10 to schedule my upcoming travels. Again, no one ever answered the phone nor returned our calls. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement. Fortunately, I was able to get a full refund for the services not rendered. I travel quite a bit and thought I would upgrage my ground transportation; with hope this would be my new form of getting to / from the airport. But now, that won't happen! read more
