It gets this way from the great changes I've seen in range and fresh plants and new staff that replaced old uninterested ones. I would have to say its the most tidy and fresh nursery I've seen on the coast or even around Sydney. It makes you instantly chill out when you walk in, when you see how perfectly placed and primped the plants and goods are, displayed with flair and green thumbs! They have a pretty cool range of gifty products, like statues, ladies bags, wall art, their own candles (which are great - 'Point Clare Sunshine' is my fave) In fact I've done most of my Christmas and birthday shopping here for years now, the boys even wrap it up beautifully! I joined the free club and get some good offers on email and quickly earn points on my card (better than fly buys), if I have the time I can drop in on Wednesday for a special offer of 10% off plant prices, although I don't make it often it's nice to get it when I can. I bought some beautiful cyclamen here for Mum last year and they flowered for months and my maiden hair fern is lovely too. I've always had good success with the plants and would recommend this place over bunnings any day.

Having everything from yard furniture, tools, plants, and pots is an understatement. Their depth and variety of plants blew me away. Beautiful healthy stock, not half dead spindly Kmart stuff. Hearty fuchsia hanging pots, modest sized ready to take off, on sale for less than US$5. Tremendous select of exotic seed packages. If I lived here I'd be there once a week. Don't know how they can afford to carry such huge inventory and don't care. This place is gardener's heaven.

Take it from me, avoid the creepy pathway from Katoomba Street, and take the entrance from the…read morecarpark side instead. It's all a bit Dickensian. Not so this lovely nursery, however. There's gravel strewn paths and raised beds all grown over the sides with, I am reliably informed, Baby's Breath. Must be a rather ill baby methinks. Makes all the edges green and fuzzy. I was only along for the ride, as my attempts to keep anything plant-related alive seem doomed to failure. I hope to somehow suck up gardening ability by osmosis, but it hasn't worked yet. So I listened to advice about growing rare and unusual cold climate perennials (they have a whole section no less), try to imagine the joy of successfully growing something heirloom and wonderful from seed, and peeked at the tiny Christmas trees in pots. They seem to have a great selection of plants here, including lots of hard to find ones specifically suited to the colder climes of the upper mountains. I await the day when I manage to not wither a poor defenceless plant to a pale stick with great anticipation. It'll happen one day, I hope.
