I'd rather get something operated on!…read more Well, i've been coming here for the last 5-6 years, I usually see Dr. Brendmoen, she is great and I will continue to see her. I've never once had a problem with her and she does make you feal at ease. I usually try to see her at the Lorton location, they have a newer office there with newer equipment. Well, I recently started having some bad pain in my jaw, I was able to call and be seen the same day. Apparently I needed a root canal then a crown. I would need to make a future appt. for both. I setup the root canal for a couple of weeks out, well the tylenol stopped working and I was in very bad pain during the nights. I did end up calling and they were able to get me in about 1.5 days later. Dr. Tupman did the root canal, this was my first root canal (and hopefully last), i was told my Dr. Tupman that I could still have pain for the next couple of days, well once i got home and the numbing meds wore off i felt 100% better. I did not need to take anymore pain meds. If you ask me, i think it is the dentist that made the difference, i think it's very easy to screw up drilling out your nerves! The office is clean and organized, and the administrative assistants at the front desk are very helpful, and frankly, way too bright first thing in the morning, but in a good way. The hygenist (Beth again, yay!) was very funny and friendly, which I found relaxing, despite my extreme dentalworkaphobia. All my questions were answered, and I always leave with the sure feeling that my dental health is in very good hands.

So after my last appointment where I went to the Invsalign open house I decided to check out a…read moredifferent orthodontist. I wasn't pleased with the open house that night for several reasons. I was planning to go with Invisalign that night had it not been for the following. 1. They jacked the pirce up $1600 since my last written quote in his office! Huge jump! My new orthodontist is much cheaper than Aesthetic Dentistry of Lorton. 2. The hygentists fumbling with trying to take pictures for Invisalign. It must have taken them 20-25 minutes trying to get the pictures. It was ackward and uncomfortable. I felt like Lindsay had never taken these pictures before. It was a HOT MESS!!! When I went to my new orthodontist he was amazing. The pictures didn't have any ackwardness to them. It was quick and easy they got the right pictures right away withou having to take shot after shot.. I could really tell that I was in an othodontist office verses a dentist office. It was so much more professional and well run. They deal with braces, Invisalign and orthodontics all day long verses having to deal with cavities, root canals and cleanings. If you are considering Invisalign I would seriously consider using an orthodontist not a dentist who does it all. My new orthodontist had a better looking resume and credintals. Not all dentists/orthodontists are the same. My new orthodontist is in the top 1% of Invisalign providers. I am really happy with him and know I am in good hands. The staff with my new orthodontist are all professional and clearly it shows that they see a lot of patients for Invisalgn. There is no fumbling. I have only had my Invisalign for 4 weeks but I can already tell a HUGE difference in my teeth! So what was the number #1 reason why I left Aesthetic Dentistry of Lorton? It was all about money to them and not keeping a customer who had been loyal to the practice for over thirty years. I am sure the Reeves would have made much more than that $1600.00 from me (and my husband and possibly two kids) over future visits had they honored the original price I was quoted. Anyway, I am super happy with my new orthodontist and new dentist as well who is not constantly upselling the way the Reeves did. After the past couple of experiences recently I realized that I no longer want to continue to go to see the Reeves at ALL anymore. Customer service was much more important rather than to keep a dentist who could care less if they lost a customer who had been with them for over thirty years. I had been seeing the Reeves for 32 years! So sad to have to leave the practice. It is now time for me to say goodbye! SO LONG REEVES!

When I questioned the necessity of paying for the same diagnostic images twice, the staff tried to "reassure" me by saying insurance covers them at 100%. This is incredibly misleading; even if covered, it still deducts from my annual insurance allotment, leaving less coverage for actual dental work later in the year. It felt like a blatant attempt to maximize billing rather than provide efficient patient care. Because of this lack of transparency and respect for my time and benefits, I have also canceled my daughter's upcoming appointment as well. I'll be taking our business to a practice that values integrity over redundant procedures. Lost 2 patients in less than 5 mins, and had the chance to win over a family of 7. Expecting prompt refund for services not rendered.
