Sure it's a little bit WASPY (my family, one African-American family, and an Indian family were pretty much the only people of color who attended there for awhile) but the group is extremely welcoming and open. The one thing I like about this church is that they don't get caught up in politics or gay rights issues like some other churches I have attended in the past. Instead they focus on giving back to the community and have a wide array of mission opportunities in places like our own backyard, the Appalachian Mountains, and even Russia! PS: Donuts after every service! To me, a Sunday is never complete without a 1/4 of a Shopper's Warehouse Donut.

I've been attending TKC for 6 years now, and can honestly say there is such a unique atmosphere there; it has a small church feel where you are seen and heard, while still having a larger congregation. The head pastor, Mark, is so personal and honest. His sermons speak the truth about the Gospel and he doesn't shy away from the uncomfortable topics. Mark isn't the only pastor to speak on Sunday mornings; there are many others that bring a lot of variety throughout the year. Former head pastor Bill Jeschke has such a genuine heart for the people around him, it's a rare occurrence if he doesn't shed a tear as he preaches. Milton Harding has an energetic spirit filled with love and laughter, and he offers a new view on many topics. Tyler Griffin brings a call to action to reach the world around us and he puts it into action in his own life, spearheading missions to Central America. There are so many other delightful people at The King's Chapel that I've had the pleasure of getting to know throughout the years I've attended. Unfortunately, one of the priests forces you to remove your mask before receiving communion. I just got out of that line and moved to another. Very conservative. Found Republican propaganda on cars in the parking lot after mass during election season. Personally found it difficult to focus with all the political talk. If you're going to have a political opinion, at least pay tax.
