I typically don't use automatic car washes and prefer to take my car to a hand wash or to wash it myself. Fortunately, my current car is white, so I don't have to worry much about swirl marks from aggressive mechanical brushing, which leaves me free to use auto car wash services without fear of my car looking like it's been put through a OR safari park every weekend.
I've been using this car wash for close to 3 years now and don't have a single complaint. For £6 my car gets a triple shampoo wash, and comes out the other side totally clean. Once a year, in the springtime, I get an under chassis wash to take the winter grime off. £6 is what it costs to take your car to the self service machines at petrol station around London. Not only is it a massive pain to use those machines, but the brushes can damage the paint on cars pretty extensively. So it's nice to pay the same amount and just sit back.
They also offer a valet service, which I've never used. There's also interior detailing, as well as a self service vacuum (£1 for 4 minutes).
Also... I don't trust the adults who don't get just a bit excited when going through a car wash. Come on now... that stuff is so exciting! read more
