I have tried many types of extensions including Hot Heads which she uses. Unfortunately, most of the tape-ins rip out my hair. I've only found one brand that doesn't pull my hair out by the name of Easihair. Kristi didn't use their products and had a heck of a time getting the tapes for them, but she went so far above and beyond to get what works for my hair. She really got to know me on my consult and learned how active I am so she could best care for my hair and she nailed it! Kia is a Vivid Hair Specialist who has transformed my hair from its natural brown to teal, then pink with extensions, and now purple with a silver money piece! She's super sweet, and she's always been very realistic with me about what kind of maintenance certain colors or cuts need. (Despite how it may seem, I like low maintenance even though I still want fun colors.) For the time and service she provides, her rates are very reasonable. I've looked forward to every visit with her, and I feel like my self-confidence has grown not just because of my beautiful hair but also because of her positive and empowering outlook! Ariel is an amazing nail artist! I was never one to get my nails done regularly (low maintenance, like I wrote), but when I was getting my hair done, I'd see Kia's nails (always done by Ariel), and they were literally fantastic. So I gave it a whirl and got some fancy nails for a business trip. And then I asked for some fun nails for a wedding. The more I visited the salon, the more I enjoyed the ladies that worked there and the energy that I felt, and the more I wanted to come back. Now I come every 4 weeks for Ariel to do my nails. However, it was frustrating to have my appointment canceled over what felt like a misunderstanding that could have been resolved through better communication. The service I booked was clearly stated, and I don't feel it was fair for her misunderstanding to result in frustration directed toward me and the cancellation of my appointment. What makes this even more disappointing is the apparent double standard with cancellations. Clients are charged a fee for canceling within 48 hours, yet the salon can cancel on a client at the last minute without any apparent consequence. Our time is valuable, too. I made arrangements for my appointment, and as a mom of two young kids, coordinating time for myself isn't always easy. Having a business cancel on me last minute, especially over a misunderstanding that wasn't due to a lack of clarity on my part, was incredibly frustrating.
