I didn't know what to expect when my mom suggested that we go to the spa in Borgata... though I left thoroughly impressed! My mom booked a winter special 1 hour massage and I got a 1 hour facial to check it out. We booked online before we arrived, which made it really all very easy. We arrived to the spa early to check it out but we were surprised to learn that all the pool areas and hot tubs were available to us until the spa closes for the evening since we made a reservation for a spa service so we went ahead and enjoyed the facilities before our service. Check in was super seamless and you're immediately given a robe, slides, and a locker for your belongings. Then you're free to enjoy the spa and relax! They call you about 5-10 minutes before your service, then they lead you upstairs to your service room. Super clean, organized, and professional all around here. The warm bed was amazing and they have wonderfully soft blankets. My mom really appreciated her massage and I thoroughly enjoyed my facial! I wanted to make sure that I made a review given some of the negative things people have said about Immersion. I spent the afternoon/early evening at Immersion last week for a couple's retreat and the entire experience was FABULOUS! As soon as you get off the elevator you feel like you are in an oasis. The check-in was seamless and we were then shown to the separate "his" and "hers" changing room. The facilities were immaculate and the steam room was glorious. There were some light snacks, water and tea and once you are changed, you wait in the sitting area to be called up for your service. We had the Immersion Bath House service which is when you are given a beautiful room with floor to ceiling windows, you are left alone to exfoliate each other with various scrubs, you then soak and wash the scrubs off in a large and beautiful bubble bath/hot tub and then receive a couples deep tissue massage. The massage technicians were gracious, fun and did such a great job on our massages. I would absolutely recommend the Immersion Spa and cannot wait to go back! read more

I've done the Queen bee treatment here as well as the rock your senses with an eye treatment. WOW! All 3 were $$$ but so worth it after a rough weekend in Atlantic City. All the masseuses are very experienced, professional and a delight to chat with. They have a coed pool and hot tub with tons of lounge chairs to relax on. They offer food/ alcohol delivery to the lounge area. Inside the women's room has its own hot tub, changing rooms and beautiful bathroom layout with showers. Simple, clean, streamline modern decor. It's definitely more low key and relaxed than some other spas I've visited but still worth every penny. This time had a Egyptian milk and honey wrap with an added 30 min neck, back and shoulder massage. Starts with an warmed aromatic lightly orange accented exfoliation everywhere on my body, a quick hot shower rinse and then back on the table for a massage with warmed milk & honey lathered everywhere again. Once the M&H was sufficiently on me, I was put on another table, wrapped up nice and snug and all of a sudden the table underneath started falling away from me and I was softly cocooned and suspended in what kind of seemed like a warm water bed. Had the best nap being wrapped up in there! Warning though...if you're claustrophobic, I wouldn't recommend this treatment. A cool towel was placed over my eyes but my face was never encased or submerged eve. Peggy my masseuse was amazing and had the softest yet strongest hands! I am a massage junkie and this is the best Swedish massage I ever had. Carmen is just wonderful! The place is nice but is quite usual compared to other hotel spas in the world, except for the view since it is perched on the top floor of the hotel. So in terms of facilities, it is nothing special. The relaxing lounge with various types of tea, juices, bottled water and fruits and nuts is good though. I like the thick bathrobe provided (slippers will be given if you do not bring your own), and the changing area with hair dryers and curling irons. I do think 3 shower rooms is insufficient though as I had to wait for about 10 minutes before one is available. There is also a hot jacuzzi, cold plunge pool, steam room in the women spa area. If you want to join your boyfriend or husband, you could go to the common lounge area where there is a bigger hot tub, heated swimming pool and lounge chairs facing the windows. Food can be ordered too. Now to the treatment. I was booked for a 50 minutes Swedish massage. The treatment room is spacious with an attached shower room. I was given a choice of scented oil. Once I made my selection, I was told to disrobe and lie face up. Their practice is to do the front first instead of the back, which is not common. You could still choose to lie face down if you wish. I just went with the flow. Best choice ever. The bed is adjustable and conformed to my body. Carmen started with my face and head which helped to start the relaxation process. I loved how the bed is heated and a thick blanket is used to cover me to give an illusion of a cocoon, warm and safe. A hot towel was placed under my neck while Carmen worked on my shoulders, arms and legs. Carmen adjusted the bed again when it was time for the back and the bed has no hole in it. So a face rest is attached to the bed and it is sturdy and comfy, not wobbly like those other massage places I have been to in Asia. The kicker was a warm towel placed on my back while my legs were being massaged. I must have dozed off after that as I do not recall any other parts of the massage when it was over. While 50 minutes seemed like a short time, I must say I did not feel the massage was too short. Instead I was properly relaxed and felt like jelly at the end of it, ready to sink deeper into oblivion. It was truly an incredible experience. A+++++++++ read more

All I can say is WOW !! This place was amazing it's one of the most beautiful spas I've been to. The experience was awesome from the moment of check in til the final ending when our treatments were done. Me and my sister had facials and both really enjoyed them . I had Kim and she had the softest hands and really had me glowing by the time we left. The amenities were awesome between the hot baths , sauna and even took a quick dip in the freezing water bath . Unfortunately the lap pool wasn't up and running when we came but it made no difference because we enjoyed it just the same . The waiting area was beautifully decorated and they had teas, juices and waters for you as well as some fruit and nuts to snack on. They entire spa was on the 32nd floor with a view of the harbor . All the rooms had towels readily available for use and the showers had all the things you needed shampoo, conditioner and soap and even lotion . So you definitely don't need to bring with you. Gorgeous, super high-end, and luxurious all describe the immersion spa at the borgotta. You really don't even feel like you are in Atlantic City, but off an island in Greece! If you purchase a treatment at the immersion, you can use the spa anytime that day to swim, use the sauna or just lounge around near the pools. While the hot stone massage I received was rather good, the aesthetics at Immersion Spa were surprisingly less than stellar. Here are my spa junkie misses: -No lounge chairs in the spa waiting area. Just hard couches and chairs. -the jacuzzi was stained and not well maintained -after waiting for four minutes, I couldn't get past slightly warm water in the showers in the "wet lounge" area -the regular showers also wouldn't provide hot showers either. I went here for a girls weekend and had a wonderful time. As you enter, u receive a robe and a locker to place personal items and clothes. There is a waiting room filled with couched for u to relax until you ate called for serviced. These us a small kitchen counter that is filled with healthy treats including fruit, variety of teas and bottled water. Once called for your services , your masseuse leads you to your room and gives instructions. The room in nicely sized with a massage table tub and sink. There was also soft lighting with soft music playing. I got the "Rock Your Senses " massage. It's a mixture of Swedish massage and heated rock massage with the incorporation of warm towels. It was heavenly. The highlight was the massage table was mechanic and adjusted me into different positions for a well rounded and sensational massage. Afterwards, we used the hot tubs, steam room and sauna. All were in one room for convenient access. There were also beach chairs and lemon water there for relaxation. We also had access to a pool but we were so relaxed that we didn't have the energy to make our way there! The only issue I had was I purchased spa finder gift cards online through Groupon and had to go through a rediculous process to use them. The spa had to call in each card used to enter a code. If You Want To Use Spa Cards Make Sure You HAVE A Tangible Card To Keep THE Administrative Part short. Somehow technogy and networks haven't quite caught up yet. Not impressed. The issue wasn't the cashier or the masseuse. When we arrived, the masseuse showed up 5 minutes late. Then they wrapped it up 10 minutes early. That's 15 minutes of a 1 hour massage gone (including walking time to and from the massage room). On a side note-- Cheesy music as well. They have the stereo hooked up to a Samsung Tablet and I swear to God the default / pre-downoaded song played. I was like wow haha that's my alarm clock!! We spoke with Kristen (ph.) the manager and she gave us a lousy $25 food and beverage voucher. That's straight up chump change. Especially for this place.  They give you a $25 voucher when you take a bus to Bally's from NYC. We got robbed of at least twice that because we dropped 350 on a 1-hour couple massage. When I stay at the Water Club, I try to get in a few workouts. The place to go is the top floor at the Immersion Spa. They have a variety of machines including cardio and weight machines. They do lack a bench press however. Still, the view is pretty amazing - you essentially overlook the Marina horizon while you're running. Minus one star for making guests who stay at the Water Club pay $15 per person, per visit. What are we - a boardwalk casino/hotel? Sure, comps usually take care of it, but just like with the wireless (read: also not free), it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. read more

I've been to a fair number of spas and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this one! I enjoyed the Deep Sea Renewal body treatment, which was an exfoliation treatment with seaweed. It was perfect for this time of year when most people have some dry skin that needs exfoliation. The treatment included a head massage and access to the spa pool and all its facilities. This was probably one of the best treatments I've received in a long time. After the treatment, my friends and I were able to lounge in the Spa indoor pool, shower, and order food if we wanted. The facilities were kept immaculate and orderly. I wished there was some background "zen" type of music in the lounge area. The shower facilities include everything so a woman only needs to bring her own make-up and clothes. All shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and hair products, including slippers are provided. It was so wonderful! I even overheard a pregnant woman RAVING about her prenatal massage and how she was able to lie on her stomach, something she hasn't been able to do normally since she's been pregnant. It made me think that I wanted to give the prenatal massage as a nice baby shower gift for a mom. read more

I truly believe that every hotel spa deserves their very own page because they are so distinct from the hotel itself. Of course, they can be uniform in terms of its services and interior design, but some shitty hotels do have excellent spas. i've had a massage day one at the water club and body scrub with marina on day two. massage was pretty good but body scrub was spectacular not truly about the "sorta mosturizing scrub', but marina's excellent service. the scrub was given generously, enough to cover from neck to sole. the last scrub i had at a vegas hotel was so bad because of how stingy they were with the scrub so this is just a gift. marina also finish the bottle of honey+milk mosturizer, and the water bed thingy was really cool, although a little scary. both days i'd used all their facilities like the pool, steam room and hot tub. ok that's all the stuff they had at the spa but it's good enough(also a sauna room is a plus plus plus). service was excellent from check in to check out(at the spa). i'm in love with immersion. read more

Immersion is not a luxury spa anymore, and all the concierge desk need better customer service training. I always stay in Water Club hotel for past four years and the last routine is massage on Sunday, but now I see the wet area is rusty, and steam is not warm at all.The worst part is the concierge customer service. Three of us had a massage appointment, and somehow their staff deleted our appointment but no one apologize for their mistake. The manager, the Russian concierge, just gave us option to split the time or go to spa Toccore in Borgata hotel. I would suggest that confirm your appointment before you go. Went yesterday - on a midweek day - I felt I had the whole place to myself - solitude is good for relaxation. The spring rejuvenation massage, which was one of the specials was good. Not a total body massage, but concentrated on upper body (which was perfect for me). I felt I got about 45 mins of massage out of the 50 mins (which wasn't bad). Jacuzzi - some missing mosaic tiles, but did not affect my enjoyment, japanese ice pool - extremely icy cold, rarely used. change room - small but ample on a weekday. Pool - water not warm enough for my liking, but good for lap swimming. lounge chairs by the pool- can be recline for comfort, white terry cloth covering slightly darkened on the headrest (can be a turn-off for some). Juice, hot tea, figs, almonds, clementine available for snacking. Mini water bottles amply provided throughout. Some hair products (pureology brand) available. Parking is surface. I am craving for another experience like I had here. It was remarkable. My girlfriend and I decided to take some of her boyfriends winnings and treat ourselves to massages. What a great day spent. The minute you walk into the lychee infused candle reception area, you immediately forget everything. We got there about 30 minutes ahead of our appointments and changed into our robes. The spa hosts a large sauna as well as a hot tub with surrounding cushions to relax overlooking water views of Atlantic City. They also have a ice cold water tub.. it was freezing. Apparently it's good for your pores?! At our appointment time, we were called to go have our massages. John gave me a deep tissue massage, and he was excellent! Highly recommend him. His pressure was strong, but not so forceful that I was sore. Just perfect. After our massages, we hung out in the lounge area having fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, Evian water, dried fruit, nuts and good quality teas. The showers are nice and big and come with great face wash, moisturizer and plush towels to dry off even before you step out of the shower stall. The vanity area has everything from flat irons, hair dryers, and Fekkai hair products to use.. oh and you get to get ready using the magnifying makeup mirrors. Love those! The spa is down to the details when they offered me a new hairbrush, since they noticed I didn't have one. I left feeling like a new person. A complete rejuvenating experience. CARMEN IS ONE OF THE BEST!!! I write few reviews however I felt so strongly about my experience that I wanted to share it with everyone! I had the BAMBOO LEMONGRASS treatment and on Borgata's website, it's described as: "Bamboo grains combined with essences of lemongrass are blended to make this foaming exfoliating scrub effective in sloughing away flaky skin on body, hands and feet. Hydration is replenished with bamboo lemongrass moisturizing body lotion. Stimulate cellular renewal, deeply moisturize and make your body glow with radiance." The person who performed the treatment was Carmen and she was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! I'm very particular when it comes to body treatments and I have to say that Carmen is one of the best therapists I've ever encountered. She was skilful, friendly and considerate to my needs and she has truly magic hands! The bamboo-lemongrass scrub and body lotion was revitalizing and smelled of pure heaven. All the other staff at Immersion Spa were really lovely and helpful, even Keith who booked me into my treatment over the telephone deserves an A+ for his excellent customer service. The Spa itself is immaculately clean and a really beautiful, relaxing space. The jacuzzi that overlooks the vast view of Atlantic City is really something to indulge in if you're ever in the city. I live in NYC and my experience at Immersion equalled and even exceeded spa experiences I've had in New York. Lovely spa that has a cold dipping pool and a hot tub next to each other, so you can practice what the Norwegians, dipping your self from freezing cold to the hot tub for circulation. I also like the steam room. The locker rooms are clean and nicely decorated. However, they're a little withholding with the amenities, like hair brushes and lotions. The indoor, glass enclosed lounge is nice and you can order lunch there. There is a small lap pool there too. I wish there was an outdoor lounging area though. The massages are just okay. I don't think the masseuses are actually trained in the proper distinctions of swedish, shiatsu, etc. They basically feel the same here. The massage rooms are kept too cool and should be warmer. I did not like this spa one bit except for the great view. After we checked in, walked to the relaxing lounge. The first thing i noticed was it was really loud. The workers were talking and laughing. I believe that relaxing lounge should be really calm and quiet. There are two jacuzzis, nothing special. Great view though, I have to admit. If you want to use the pool, you would have to pay $15-30. lame So i got a facial from Marina or Maria. I liked how she adjusted the bed and made it really comfortable for me but after that it was a disaster. She told me that she would do extraction. that was okay since i have a lot of blackheads. She covered my eyes so i couldn't see what tool she was using but it seemed like she was using her fingernails to extract the blackhead. I left the place w/ a lot of red spots and two were bleeding. It's been 4 days now and the scars look like they will stay for good. I have been to a few spas in AC and this was the worst. i dun think I will come back here again. read more

I usually come for a massage once a month and my massages are always with Chris. I love arriving earlier to use the sauna, hot tub, pool or just relaxing in the lounge with a hot cup of tea and munching on some walnuts and dates. The facilities are very nice and I love the fact that the bathroom has blow dryers, curling irons, hairspray, etc. so you can get beautiful after your service. They also have a super large hot tub for everyone to use and next to it a pool with a beautiful view. 1 star for the VIEW and POOL everything else is TERRIBLE. The services are overpriced scam. Paid for a 60 minute massage and literally lasted 42 minutes. TIME YOUR MASSAGE. From the time the masseuse came to take me upstairs which she was LATE via a long wait elevator that killed 8 minutes of my time to finishing it was under 51 minutes. What a SCAM. On top of that I got my wife a massage and it lasted under 40 minutes and she said it was the worst. The masseuse wasted time by washing hands constantly and stepping outside of the room. The reason I TIMED the MASSAGE is in past reviews I read that people didn't get the full time in. THIS PLACE IS GARBAGE for any SERVICES. I have seen her twice in the last six months, and she has helped my skin tremendously. As for the amenities. Maybe my standards are high, but there is nothing really special here. The changing room is super small. The steam room was broken on my first visit and the "lounge" is brightly lit and has a television. It feels very factory like. Not a place to relax (I'm thinking of The Red Door layout which is far superior). I have experienced a number of spas and usually the lounge area is quite nice. This really is more like a waiting room. The same can be said for the jacuzzi and steam areas. Nothing special. Bottom line: go for the service not the experience. read more

We had a good experience at Immersion Spa. The spa is located on the penthouse of the Waterclub hotel. You get a panoramic view of ac and the Marina. The view itself is worth it. The lounging area was very crowded on the day that I went. There was too much chatter from the patrons and the employees Which made it hard to relax before going in for our treatment. We got the Thai Tulur Balinese massage. It was nice and relaxing. My masseuse was very seasoned and made me feel at ease. The massage started as dry with pressure points and then moving on to a jasmine massage oil and more traditional methodical massage. She really worked the knots in my shoulders and spent alot of time on the arms and legs as well. After the massage, there was a turmeric/yogurt scrub that was heated and applied. This felt awesome! Finally a rose infused tub was prepared for you to rinse off the scrub while you enjoy a snack and drinks. The only reason I gave it 3 stars was the hefty price tag. $720 for 2 people (including service charge) which they charge up front is pretty ridiculous. read more

Spa is gorgeous and great view at the top! I thought the locker room can get cramped when we ladies are changing to get ready for our appointments. Weekends is very busy which is the time I went. Amenities are great with Frederic Fekkai hair products and other fancy spa products plus water, tea or fruit. The wet steam room was relaxing especially when they provide the cold wash towels so I can breathe better in that room. The one thing that was odd is when you check in, you pay your tips upfront. Don't you think you would need to see how the service goes before you pay them an additonal "bonus"? I had the Balinese massage for 80 min. and it was an incredible experience. It's a mix of dry (gentle version of deep tissue) and aromatic oil massage (swedish style and trigger points). This comes with an impressive price, about $300 including the tip. This treatment is not your weekly treatment - it's a ROYAL treatment and if you're here visiting and not planning to come back anytime soon, I would get this treatment. I would have given 5 stars but it's the price that is fairly shocking and I've been to many spas all over the world. read more

I found the locker room less inviting than the one at Borgata. The shower handle fell off when I turned the water on but the good news was that the manager in the locker room called maintenance once I told him about the handle. I had a 1pm massage. My therapist arrived at 1:05 to get me and we then had to take an elevator to the floor where the massage rooms were located. My massage started around 1:15. I didn't look to see what time it ended because all I wanted was to get out of there. The massage was lacking any benefit so when I was told we were done, I was escorted back to the locker room, dressed and then returned to my hotel room. To my surprise when returned to my room I discovered it was only 1:55. I was told that the 1 hour massage was actually 50 minutes. Mine lasted no more than 30 minutes and for that I was charged $140 plus a mandatory 20% gratuity totaling $168. Skip the Immersion Spa and use the one at the Borgata. A much better facility and you get your full time without having to take an elevator while wearing only a robe and flip flops. The staff is also much friendlier. read more

I cannot believe I'm leaving a bad review. I'm not a complainer and I take negative reviews with a grain of salt. I'm sooooo disappointed in my spa visit that I had to leave a review. My husband and I got a couples Swedish massage and it was the worst. First they left the blinds wide open on a bright sunny morning. I finally gad to ask them to close them up. In a spa atmosphere you want dark and quiet so I feel the shades should've been drawn without me asking. Ok no big deal because they closed them. So what's really wrong is the glorified oil application I had. This treatment did NOT constitute a massage!! I get Swedish massages a few times a year and this was NOT a massage. I could've just asked my husband to apply oil to my body instead. So ok maybe it was just me??? Nope! After my husbands massage he told me he felt the same exact way!!! It was such a waste of $300+. What's even funnier is stopping on the Garden State Pkwy on the way home for coffee we sat in a massage chair for $1 and it was better than my $300 oil rub down. I went with 4 girls for a bachelorette spa day, and it was *not* relaxing at all. Because of an issue at the Borgata Hotels front desk, we were unable to check in appropriately. After the circus caused by the poorly trained staff we quickly dropped our stuff, ran to the Borgata spa which said nope you are at the Immersion spa for treatments. I asked them to tell Immersion we would be there asap. We arrive, they rush us through paper work, give us lockers (slowly) and then escort us to the room. Long story short because of the few minutes of lateness our 50 min massages turned into 20 minute massages. RUSHED, and today I feel uncomfortable (def not enough time to do a complete massage, just aggravated my muscles). We tried to speak with the manager Carla, and she didnt care at all. $164.00 - for a 20 minute massage , and they add 20% gratuity no matter what. Myself and the girls definitely felt cheated. The massages weren't relaxing nor was the experience. The hotel didn't care that we had appointments to make, the spa didnt care that we had issues at the front desk that caused us to be late. Clearly both parts don't seem to realize they all are under the same roof, and help the business survive. Save your money and go elsewhere, its not worth it. read more

I thought i'd give this Spa a 3 or 4 star but an incident happened that made me change my quite stiff mind! The massage itself was just ok, nothing extravagant. i had better massages from other spas. The view from the "wet room" was magnificent! When i walked in nobody was there, so i had the place all to my-timid-self. In the lounge were older women waiting for their amigas. The hosts and the massage therapist were friendly and accommodating. They have all the necessary things you need for you to look less-greasy when you come out of the massage room, all you need is enough time to indulge. My boyfriend's mother thought i used up most of her cocktail time drying my hair so i have to hurry up! We were driving back home when i realize i dont have the Tiffany's my boyfriend gave me for Valentine's and i dont have the guts to stop the car and announce my carelessness to his parents and him! The rest of the afternoon im a lil fuzzy and cant wait to fast-forward the day to 9 AM the next day! I called first thing the following day and soon enough i was talking to the Lost and Found personnel, Linda. She was very helpful, she took care of everything, (including call my boyfriend and letting him know i left something in the Spa=)) all i have to do is give her my mailing address and pay for shipping! The next day i got my necklace back! So, the great service made up for the A-ok massage! read more
