I originally had a rock chip in the windshield, and the crack started getting longer, so I decided to replace it before it got worse. The installation took about 45 minutes, which was quicker than I expected. On the drive home, I tested the vehicle's sensors, including the left and right safety sensors and the front adaptive cruise control, and everything appears to be working normally so far. They advised me to leave the tape on for two days before removing it. After that, I plan to get a car wash so I can also make sure there are no leaks around the new windshield. For the price, I'm hoping everything continues to hold up well. Rafael told me the installation comes with a 3-year warranty and said I can call him anytime if any issues come up. So far, I'm satisfied with the service and installation. I'll come back and update this review if I experience any problems later on. I'm also attaching photos from the day of the installation for reference and as a record of the work completed.

I'm in construction and waterproofing, so I understand adhesives, sealants, bonding, and product quality more than the average customer. After looking into the products and methods they use here, including the urethane adhesive system, I was really impressed. Their attention to detail and commitment to using quality materials is above and beyond what I've seen from other glass shops. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and willing to explain the process. I appreciate a shop that does not just rush the job, but actually cares about doing it correctly. Highly recommend California Auto Glass if you want the job done right. And at a great value.

It's been a month or so and the windshield is holding strong. That was not the case when the 1/8th inch crack was turning into a 1/4 inch and then a 1/2 inch over the course of a couple of weeks. When my car was broken into in DTLA, I did a quick Yelp search for close-by auto glass repair…read more There are several auto glass businesses along Mission Road, but GTO had the best photos showing a clean, organized facility as well as a comfortable waiting area. Other shops had way too many photos of random residential homes and a chaotic mess of stored cars. I arrived at GTO on a Wednesday around lunchtime. I only needed one rear window replaced, which took a quick 20 minutes. The repairman also cleaned the broken glass from my rear seat, which was so kind. New window looked great. I paid for the repair using Zelle to avoid the credit card surcharge. Price was pretty average. There is also a tinting business next door, but I didn't have time to use them.

One shop we looked at had decent pricing, but we would've had to leave the car there on a Saturday, which is usually our family day out. I honestly didn't even know this was a thing! He called a few places, and Mario stood out right away. Mario arrived early, was professional from start to finish, and finished the replacement in no time. So much glue used it was oozing inside on the pillar; furthermore, they left bits of the old glue in my AC vents. For over 3 months the chemical smell was(and still is) terrible to the point I would use my other car, and still it ruined the interior leather smell of my car. The careless installer scratched my dash board, which was very disappointing. They tried to make good but ultimately made it worse when the owner hired an unqualified person to fix it; who spray painted my dash and made the problem larger and more noticeable. Poor quality windshield too, with a big generic rubber surround that doesn't fit like oem, and the corners don't seal against the body. Definitely not 5star service.
