This is a great place to go if you want biblically-based teaching and fellowship. I identify as a…read morefairly liberal young person, but I feel comfortable in this space. People here seem to understand that when Jesus said "love your neighbor," he didn't give any exceptions. They have a very large campus, which initially made me think they might be a "megachurch." While it's a big church, there are many small communities within it. They have a ministry for every stage of life: nursery, kids, middle or high schoolers, young adults, married couples, new parents, older people, and general men's and women's groups. The place doesn't feel like a business. It's a faith community that provides a safe space for followers of Jesus, regardless of their other affiliations. I particularly love the Kardia young adult community. They have a lot of ways to get involved and are very friendly, but there's no pressure to do anything in particular. I love that they serve open communion for all Christians, every week, and I love the music. It's contemporary and high quality. They rotate in new songs every once in a while, but they keep things around for a while and bring in classics so you can be familiar with some things. I enjoy the availability of the leadership. You can actually talk to the people in charge every Sunday. The transparency is great, as is the teaching. Typically, the same lead pastor (Des) speaks, but the leadership will keep the community in touch with what's going on in various niches of the church. I respect the way they operate.

There's an incredible amount of young adults that go to their church which was awesome to see. The reason I give only 3 stars is because of the children's ministry. They were super friendly when I was dropping my 2nd grader off for the first time, but when I picked him up, I was bummed to see him sitting alone and no teachers around him. I was a bit late to get him, because I was talking, but I have served at many churches and no matter how late the parents are, the volunteers do not leave the children. He wasn't the last kid picked up and completely alone, but in the 2nd grade "area" it was just him with no adults. Also when we were walking out, the person I gave my tag too kind of ignored us and when I said thanks and goodbye, she just continued to talk to her friends that were nearby. So in a way I felt like people were kind and friendly, but not as welcoming as I hoped for a first time person. Wanting to try the church again and hopefully it will feel different next time.

Then right before the message started we had a staff member come and publicly embarrass us in front of others around us by saying we must leave right now due to our dog. Coming in we were welcomed with our dog explaining that he is an emotional support animal and that he has just had surgery 2 days prior. We are unable to leave him at home due to his 6 staples in his leg. Instead of the team coming up with a solution they just kicked us out. I asked if I could speak to someone about this and they quickly declined and didn't even give us another option. We weren't allowed to listen to the message not even outside we just had to completely leave the premises. Walking out the door there was an 8 person team standing there waiting for us to leave like we were some threat and they just watched us walk out. How embarrassing. To say we are extremely saddened and disappointed is an understatement. Every other church we've gone to with this 7lb puppy has never had a problem. Safe to say we are not welcomed back here unfortunately. Such a bummer. I would seriously not recommend a church less. How awful you have no solutions and you're not allowed to speak to anyone, you just don't care about your guests and kick them out. Because of this expiernce its affected us going back to church in general that we will be kicked out again at another church and caused us to feel as if someone is always watching to judging us like they did here. Super unfortunate And unprofessional.........
