Other than cutting my time close for another commitment, my visit this time was still enjoyable. From my understanding, the $5 admissions promotion will end December 31. The admission price listed for Calexico 10 is $7.50. It's been $5, I believe, all this year(2011).

The way to view a movie harkens back to days of old; as in Drive-In movies! Using a huge inflatable screen, a rented receiver (to listen to the desired radio station in your car) and enough space to hold the event; a good time (or something completely different) is destined to happen. Yes, the movies are second run. But the movie is free, so I couldn't complain. We rounded up the family and had a good time. The staff running the show keeps everyone Social - Distanced apart while in their vehicles. There's porta potties on site, and the usual fare of popcorn and other snacks are sold....as well as alcohol (age appropriate, of course). It made for a decent night out. On the military base, they run a movie every other week (weather permitting). I suggest checking online and/or calling ahead to see if a movie is playing that week. For something to do, it's not a bad deal. Worth looking into!
