Last night, I enjoyed my first Tai Chi class, held outdoors on the lawn. The instructor was precise and attentive, making sure we were getting into each pose correctly while maintaining our pace throughout the practice. I especially loved being outside, using my senses, staying present, and even catching a beautiful sunset along the way. This is one of Spruill's free wellness classes, offered on the first Monday of each month. What a beautiful way to bring wellness, art, and community together! Once again, the Spruill Arts Center reminds me that inspiration can take so many forms. The pace was perfect and I never felt as though we were moving too fast. There were only 4 people in my Sunday afternoon class which allowed plenty of opportunities for him to walk around and help us individually. We also had opportunities to take little snack/bathroom breaks. The building is shared with the library and since that's closed on Sundays, there was usually ample parking. Sometimes there would be a children's performance in the theater near our studio but it was never really disruptive. Although sometimes, there would be less parking spots near the studio entrance on those days. I genuinely enjoyed taking this class at Spruill! I hope to take more classes here in the future and I even told my friends about it. The classes are reasonably priced for the quality of instruction that they offer, and there may be a few need-based scholarships available on their website. I believe there is a donation-based supply closet available to students who are currently enrolled in art classes, but the closet itself is only open during the week. Overall, I think Spruill is a great place hone any craft and I would love to take more classes in the future.

In addition, there's a Fall Break Art Camp for grades 2-5, where children will experiment with a range of media including watercolor, acrylics, and collage. As I walked through the space, I was able to watch artists at work and enjoy the current gallery exhibits on display. The atmosphere was inspiring and welcoming. Adult fall classes--running October 6th through December 13th--are also available, covering both visual and ceramic arts. Each class is taught by individual instructors, making it approachable for students of all levels. Best of all, online registration makes it simple to sign up. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that such a wonderful resource has been right in my neighborhood all along. It was a great experience, and I've already registered for pottery classes--something I'm really excited about! Well since this 5th birthday was SO special because my husband just published his first children's book about our son being a superhero..And the party had to double as a book release too.. We wanted to do something uncommon for a 5 year old's birthday or at least something we don't usually do! I called the Vinings School of Art, and the owner Cara or maybe it's spelled Kara, was very thorough and got my party booked right away! She insisted that I come by and view the space and decide which sculpture we wanted to do. The place is super cute, very colorful and festive, so minimum decorations are needed. Her and her assistant had the rooms spotless and ready to go way before it was time for the party to start. The kids had a blast! They created 3D rocket ships with two revolving planets! Cara/Kara was even nice enough to clean everything up after the younger babies who couldn't paint had made a mess of the toy area! Everything about our experience was professional, fun, and well executed! We'll definitely be back!

Having taken many art classes myself I wanted to be sure that this was a good place to send my son for him to expand his love of art. I talked directly to the owner and felt good about it. I decided to try it and so far my son loves it! He does the extended class which is 1.5 hours long and not just the reg hour. At times I think he wishes it was longer... lol. The cost is reasonable but on the website they don't have a way to pay for the 6 months extended class and get the discount. I had to talk to the owners again and it was a bit messy getting that all taken care of. However it has been very worth it! I would sign my son up again in a heart beat. And will keep him going as long as he wants to go.

Her first piece of art that she brought home was a drawing of an old man and there was no story or pride from the work, she just shrugged. My 6-year-old LOVES art, I've never seen her be nonchalant about art so I pulled her out and she's in a different program now, thriving. She should be psyched about her work. This place might be great for older kids but I'd find something less prescriptive for the younger students.

Even though I took art studies and pottery classes in college (all four years), I still learn every single class when I am with Lesther. He really is a fantastic teacher!! This particular session I made two mugs, three bowls, and two plates. They all went to the glazing fire last week, and I will be able to pick my finished pieces up in 10 days. The Pottery room consists of two large rooms with different sections for hand work, glazing, firing and the pottery wheels. This area is my happy place, and I plan to take as many classes as I can moving forward and become a pottery member. Have a fantastic summer, make a lot of memories, and find your happy place. My son took the 30 hours of classroom work and 8 hours of driving. I would rather he learn to…read moredrive on the Interstate with an instructor who has control over the vehicle. By completing the course, he was able to take the driving test through Taggart's. The driving instructor was very thorough and showed a lot of knowledge of the driving rules, which he passed along. I will use them again soon for my younger son.

TAGGART'S DRIVING SCHOOL IS A SCAM. DO NOT waste your money here, especially if you have a son…read more They brought in a substitute teacher who bragged that she didn't teach by the book. She taught some highly sensitive political views during her class and ALLOWED STUDENTS WHO SHE LIKED TO WORK IN GROUPS AND USE THEIR PHONES TO TAKE THE STATE TEST. She also gave the students a free 100 on the State Required Joshua's Law Drug & Alcohol test. For the boys she seemed to target, she either kicked them out of class with no refund for "talking" or made them clean the entire facility to make up for "talking" while all of the girls noted they were talking too. On top of that, they have NO in-car driving lessons until after Thanksgiving. I signed up in July. They will take your money and run. They are horribly run. They allow substitutes with no managerial supervision to run wild and make their own choices in the classroom. DO NOT USE THEM. They have been reported to the GA State DOT and the Better Business Bureau. THEY GET A ZERO RATING, but that was not an option.
