When we went to ask what was up we received no apology from the owner/chef. A simple "sorry for the long wait" would have made a difference but they couldn't bring themselves to offer it. To make things worse, as we were leaving we saw one of the waiters, delivering a tray of food, take a moment to turn his head and spit out a huge ball of phlegm in the outside eating area before handing off the food to a customer. Never seen anything like it. Worse still, we went to share this experience with the owner/chef and they once again did not apologise or take any responsibility. Just fobbed us off like that didn't matter! Seriously shocking lack of basic customer service and food hygiene. When the waiter saw us telling the owner (his dad btw) about what we witnessed, he smirked and said he'd "been swallowing it all day"!
