I hired Kirk to capture holiday photos of my blended family. I actually did a Yelp request and got bids from several photographers. Kirk was the most reasonably priced. So I went with him. He suggested a location at Seal Beach because there's less parking hassle and a good vibe there. It was the perfect location. Please read this review! I was looking for a photographer last minute for Vietnamese Lunar New Years, and Kirk came in clutch! I messaged him the day before the day I wanted my photoshoot and Kirk was super flexible and quick with finding a photo studio and making plans to be my photographer. I called many photo studios and photographers and their rates were so high and unreasonable with very few photos as well as photo shoot slots, unlike Kirk. Previously, I wanted Lunar New Year props for my photoshoot, but after talking with Kirk and seeing some of his photos with digital backgrounds, I was convinced that using digital backgrounds and photoshop were even better! All the photos I included in the review are digital backgrounds. Not only that, but Kirk is so different from other photographers since he gives you ALL the raw files and edits 15 photos for you in his package. After sending you the raws, you get to select 15 for him to edit which is really generous for his price. He edits them all really quick and speedy within a week. It is important to note that giving raw files is so rare for photographers. The edited photos are really good too and he was so creative and accommodating with the edits! I wanted to have a dragon in the background for one of my photos and Kirk edited a photo to my liking! He was also able to add cool effects such as a water reflection to a few of my photos. I was amazed with how all the photos turned out. I was skeptical how realistic photos were going to look if we added a couch or a different chair to sit on in the background, but the edits made it really look like I was in that room sitting on the furniture in the background. Best photoshop and touch ups ever! Kirk was super friendly and welcoming as well! I arrived 30 minutes late since I was looking for a last minute make up artist, and he was very patient and waited at the studio he booked. He was very kind and let me have over an hour to shoot since we didn't get to finish my two outfit changes. He also booked the photo studio room for an extra hour since I arrived late and wanted me to have the full time to shoot. I will never forget the kindness and generosity he showed me. He also lets you play your favorite music in the photo studio which sets the vibe for your photo shoot! I was frantic I was late for my photoshoot, but Kirk's calm and chill vibes made me feel relaxed, confident, and supported. Overall, Kirk is one of the best photographers out there in the area and is worth booking. I will definitely be booking with Kirk for future photoshoots! read more

Flaked day of... I prescheduled with Kirk mid June for Halloween/Bday party. Kirk was very awesome and communicated with me throughly. We agreed on a price and even included in travel fee. Sent him $100 deposit. The month before my event I reached out to Kirk. Making sure we were still good for photobooth. Everything was then confirmed. A few days before my event he reached out asking how I wanted the overlay to be designed and such....the day before he text asking if his wife could attend to assist him. The morning of my event he sent a text saying he was unable to do my event and something has come up. So there for he needed to zelle me back my deposit. Very disappointed as he left me no time to find anyone else to do my event. Not very reliable! Will never recommend as I am an event planner. read more

Kirk and his wife were amazing! The first photo spot didn't work out and they were willing to drive over to an impromptu one with no questions asked. Thankfully, that one worked out and we were able to make it work to get some fantastic shots of our family. Kirk was professional and extremely accommodating. After agreeing om price and time for a family shoot, Kirk agreed to come back to our house where the ceremony was being held so that we could have some shots of the ceremony and backyard wedding set up. Most photographers that I was getting quotes from were double or triple the cost for only and hour and there would've been no chance of getting pictures of our backyard or the ceremony. To top it all off, the pictures are BEAUTIFUL! The best shots were edited in multiple ways and I got ALL of them, not just 10 edited shots!
