A True Artist!!! I want to start off by saying how…read moreincredibly happy we are that we chose Brian and his company "Photographic Utopia" to capture the true beauty of my brothers wedding. We had many choices and we run a page with 44K members on FB. We were very careful and made sure to pick the best of the best, bc our friends on FB were counting on seeing the some amazing pictures. Our site is centered around my brothers Pomeranian, so the choice had to be the right one, bc we had dogs at the wedding too. I can tell you from experience that is is NOT easy photographing several dogs and hundreds of people at the same time. Thank God we chose Brian. Brian is not JUST a photographer, he is a true artist. He is beyond creative and was able to capture every moment of the wedding, just perfectly. The pictures of the dogs, the guests and the setting, could not have been better. The way he captures images is just second to none. He is EXTREMELY professional and has the patience of a saint. He also takes video, like no one else can. I'm so happy that we chose him and he was worth every dime, which was very reasonable compared to photographers I know, that are not even half as talented as he is. When I saw even the first picture he took, I was blown away. He knows just the precise lighting and angle to use, to make everyone look their best. His gift for photography and video is something that I have not seen ANYWHERE. He does everything in a very timely and precise way. He's approachable and friendly and highly, highly professional. We couldn't be happier with our photos and I KNOW that no other photographer could have done a better job. I've used many photographers in my life, some were not good, some were good but THIS photographer is an artist. There's no other way to describe his pictures, than "art". Each one of his pictures are taken with the perfect lighting and the perfect angle. He has a way of bringing out the beauty in everything that he captures with his lens. If you're looking for pictures that are truly gorgeous , Brian is the photographer for you. I know that we would never use anyone else after seeing his gorgeous work. A+, 5 Stars, the best of the best!!!

Professional, quality equipment, and fantastic service. My daughter turned one today and we got our photos back in 5 days flat, just in time for me to incorporate some of his beautiful work into our baby's slideshow for her party tomorrow. Highly recommended to anyone for family photography. He was happy to let us call "the shots" (so to speak) as to particular locations we wanted to shoot at, or ideas that we had to begin with (poses, backgrounds, etc.). However, he also suggested some ideas without being at all pushy. A true professional.

After an exhaustive search on the internet for a wedding photographer, and tiring quickly of the…read morecookie-cutter posed and staged images I found, somehow I landed at the website for Aibek Akmat Photography. I LIKE TO THINK MY GOOD FORTUNE WAS NO ACCIDENT! I was easily drawn into the artistry of the portfolio I found there. With a background in art and design, I admit I am harder to impress than some. But I instantly recognized something special about his images...rich jewel tones, dynamic images that seemed three dimensional as though you could step into the photograph in real time; with interesting textures and beautiful quality of light. I also recognized a casual spontaneity in his portrait images; subjects captured in a natural and relaxed spirit by an unobtrusive observer. While there were no actual images of weddings on the website, the work I discovered by Aibek was appealing in its depth and sensitivity and it prompted me to contact him. It was a wise decision. With less than a month to schedule a photographer before our wedding, Aibek agreed to do the job, and with a leap of faith I felt confident that the decision was the right one. We engaged Aibek for 4 hours on the day of our wedding and for photographs at two locations; the church where the ceremony took place and then following at the restaurant across the city in Georgetown. Despite pouring rain, and the consequent lighting challenges that the weather presented, he was not only patient, but accommodating and generous. Aibek DELIVERED! Our photographs came to us in zip files and on CD less than one week after the wedding ceremony. The images he captured are "brilliant, magnificent" (to quote the minister of the spectacular National City Christian Church who has seen the interior architecture images); the photographs are rich in detail, artful in composition, delightful in capturing precious moments and shared memories of the happiest day of my life. Thank you for caring so much about our wedding photographs, Aibek...for your professionalism, your artistry, and your unerring eye for capturing a moment in time. As a footnote which will make a difference for many, I would like to add that I disclosed upfront to Aibek that my partner of 30 years and I (both male) were being married in our home church; a Christian marriage with full recognition, legally and spiritually. I gave him the opportunity to decline and he not only accepted us unconditionally, but embraced us in a caring and gentle manner. But,THAT is a consequence of choosing not just a great photographer, but a kind, caring and enlightened human being. I should also add that his photography service was the best value of all the expenses we incurred for our wedding!

Our venue had some particularly challenging lighting, but he was able to work with it and we were thrilled with the photos we received! We highly recommend Chris and will certainly suggest his services to everyone we know.

But I'm glad I do, this is about character and seeing it lived out. I do not endorse people I do not believe in and I am absolutely endorsing Bill at Whole Heart Studios because I believe in what he is doing. I am also a customer, Bill took my Professional headshot for work. He made me laugh, gave different angles to pose to, and I immediately got to see what shots he took. He even edited some of the photos by my recommendation. I easily would have paid $300 for the work he did. I started going through yelp reviews and looking at photos - Katie's were amazing, and after talking to several of the photographers in the DC-Virginia area and found that I liked Katie the best, she also gave me a very fair price! She coordinated down to the last detail with me, and was very genuinely excited for us and the occasion. I only planned to have her capture the proposal and a couple of shots afterwards, but she ended up doing an entire photoshoot with us! And man the shots she captured! We felt like proper models in a photoshoot and she had such fun and creative ideas for different shots - she has an awesome eye for things. Katie even got a bit emotional for a couple of the shots and cried a little bit, talk about sincerity and passion in your work! Upon reflection, I felt like I was being rushed and we didn't get as many interesting poses as we could have if she had not been thinking about getting somewhere else.
