Fantastic business - shame one negative review can damage it's rating so much. Tom the owner, David…read moreSiegel the store manger and their staff are nothing short of excellence and great customer service. I watched the staff interact with customers while in the store and they were all treated well. Fair pricing too - shame Tom had to shutter the business upon retirement. Bought my 3rd DSLR from Camera Craft in 2011, and it's still running strong in 2025.

    1. Misspoke about price of D750. If it's $1799 at Best Buy and $1796 on Amazon which it was…read moreCamera Craft says it's $1799, there's a special of $200 and they don't make sure you know it's $200 off $1999 so essentially $1799 the same as Beat Buy and more than Amazon. 2. Issue 1 caused issue 2 of wasting my time in the snow to drive out to dusty Rockford, IL in the snow thinking we were going to get the D750 for $1599 but nope! They need to clarify it and make sure not to mention anything but the final price or make it clear that it was marked up to $1999 and a $200 off makes the final price $1799. 3. I had to pay a baby sitter to watch my kid and the owner didn't even want to price match with Amazon!!! 4. I mentioned the price difference I was expecting and he apologized that I misunderstood. Man, just because I am not white don't mistake me for not understanding what I fully heard. You better clarify to customers the one and only price instead of pretending to be a good deal like Kohl's where they make you feel like you saves $236 when you spent $80. That's misleading. 5. Unprofessional-comments like "Is she this difficult at home" when I wanted to compare lens since I was there. I should have left ASAP since his jerkiness was starting to show itself. 6. I made my decision to buy the used D750 yet he the owner Tom Brady didn't know how to check for shutter clicks? I call BS! He didn't know how long the owner had had it. He just knew he just received it and had not entered any information to turnover that camera for a percent which made me have to waste my time as he entered that information. Tom Brady also kept upselling $100 filters and plastic screen protectors which are up more time. 7. He did not seem to take care of his merchandise one time pounding Tamron Lens into the extra battery I was to buy. I asked for a new one because I worried the lens was damaged. He didn't have one. I felt bad like I had to accept a rotten apple or not a perfect fruit. He said oh it's find. He leaned the monopod I wanted against his glass case and it kept falling, again making me thinking I was going to have to accepted damaged goods. 8. My credit card company would not allow that transaction to go through anywhere for any customer so I was unable to purchase it. I went home and realized I was happy it didn't go through as I really wanted another type of Nikon D800 that the store didn't carry anyway. They seem to have had a VERY Limited Selection. 9. Cheapo -was not going to discount a little more for the used D750 and sell it at $500 off I asked for $600 off since it was used for 6 months but with no proof or shutter clicks to prove it. He said "I'm In the business of making money." "Well not today!!!" CitiCard thankfully declined! 10. I should have believed the many negative reviews about this place. I saw how he had responded and thought how rude but meh just let it go. There aren't many camera stores. Now I know the reason why! Amazon is cheapest and has fast and free shipping! I didn't even try the new camera I bought from Amazon just read tons of reviews on Best Buy and Amazon's site. I also watched tons of videos on YouTube. 11. Rude AF-I called to let him know asap I didn't need him to hold he camera so he had he opportunity to sell the clearly used camera. Instead of thanking me my google voice recorded his harassing phone call. He talks about how I wasted his time. Boy, you wasted my time when I arrived to find the price was misleading $1799 not $1599! You had me waste time driving out there an hour and back an hour in the snow and desolate roads of Rockford when I could have just made a purchase of my dream camera from the comfort of my home like I did in the end because my wonderful credit card company just happened to go down. Who needs a camera store when you have Amazon, Best Buy, and YouTube for comparisons. Tom Brady you can't argue you provide a service you are greedy and if you worked at Best Buy I would have complained to your manager because you clearly have no manners and don't know how to keep customers. If you hadn't called to scold me in my voicemail and had thanked me for telling you rather than having you hang on to that crappy used camera you took in, I would have maybe recommended you and your store, or maybe purchased something at a later date maybe a $100 filter. 12. This store had limited selections. We went there with one price in mind to being mislead. They didn't have the Nikon 800 or 810 only the Nikon D750. 13. Be accountable because you're confusing!!! Only announce the final sale price and stop confusing your customers. 14. Pathetic-You just about gave me a white cheap plastic cover for a black DSLR and then switched it when I was not satisfied with the goofy look. In business, as a store owner you should know I have my right choose any camera. Your behavior as an owner is unacceptable, inappropriate and arrogant.
