I called the office, explained my situation and that I had my implants removed in 2015 and asked if it's possible to still have breast implant illness. Whoever I spoke to basically talked me in to a consultation with Dr. Soler and since he doesn't take insurance, the consult fee was $75. Everything I read on the website led me to believe that Dr. Soler is THE BII SPECIALIST and I figured it would be worth a shot to see if I could finally get some answers. I showed up 2 minutes past my appointment and had the office calling me to see where I was (parked out front of the office). I paid the consult fee and when Dr. Soler's assistant took me back to a room, she said "so you're here for a consult to remove your breast implants?".... Ummm noooo. I made it very clear on the phone before I scheduled the consult that they were removed in 2015 and confirmed this again when I checked in, before paying the consult fee. When it was all said and done, I got no help and am now out $75. And when you're living on social security, $75 is A LOT of money. Please be careful if you're interested in scheduling a consult for breast implant illness if your implants have already been removed. There was zero reason for them to schedule a consultation so the doctor could tell me that he couldn't do anything to help me rule out BII or in general!!!

During recovery, I noticed several concerns, including an abnormal appearance around my belly button, persistent swelling in that area with physical activity, lower abdominal fullness that did not improve, and a scar that healed thicker than expected. When I raised these concerns with Dr. Perez, I was surprised by his response. Instead of addressing the issues directly, he commented that he "should have charged more" for the procedure and advised me to wait one year before discussing any revisions. After waiting the recommended year, I returned to discuss the unresolved concerns, including the protruding skin around my belly button, discomfort and pressure during activity, incomplete contouring of the lower abdomen, and the thickened scar. At that time, my concerns were dismissed, he told me I needed to lose weight and I was told I was unreasonable for requesting revision, and no corrective options were offered--including for scar revision. Patients considering this procedure should carefully review post-operative results and ask detailed questions regarding revision policies, scar outcomes, and what support is available if results do not meet expectations. Ask if post-op massages are included or any laser treatment like IPL or C02. I would also encourage prospective patients to request clear, unobstructed NEW post-op photographs, particularly of tummy tuck scar placement and healing outcomes. I spent over 10,000 dollars on a terrible tummy tuck. Every time I look at myself, I feel sick and think about Dr. Perez.

I was referred to Dr. Halpern for Carpel Tunnel surgery. I was suffering from Carpel Tunnel for years. It was unbearable to the point that I could not sleep at night. I was a bit skeptical having surgery on both hands at once, however Dr. Halpern assured me that I'd be able to use both hands after surgery. And he was right! Very cool Doctor! On the day of surgery, he showed up prior to surgery and explained to me again what will take place. In the OR room, he asked me what type of music I like. I asked him to make a selection. He played Barry White music. Needless to say, I heard only a small portion of the song. I woke up in the recovery room, Dr. Halpern was there. He was right about me being able to use both of my hands after surgery. I was able to dress myself to go home, needing only a little help from the nurse. Once I got home, I was able to care of myself without assistance. I highly recommend Dr. Halpern. He is a very friendly, and experienced Doctor who is also caring. I don't do many reviews online; however, I appreciate being able to sleep at night and the care he and his staff gave to me. I highly recommend Dr. Halpern.

Although he and his staff (wife) were very friendly, Dr Halpern did what he wanted, not what I wanted. I wanted a C, I walked away with a DDD. On every follow up appointment I expressed concern, and they continued to downplay my words, saying I looked great and I would like myself later after my skin stretched a bit. Not much to do about it after the surgery, though. Recovery was brutal and I dreaded ever having to do this again. (Protip: ask questions b4 they start sticking needles in your face. training, experience, knowledge imp) After examining my mug, went over treatment plan. Did I mention it was Botox appt? The upper half of my eyelid was dropping over my lower half of the upper eyelid and resting on my eye lashes. This was limiting how much light coming to my eyes. The procedure was done at the Surgical Center, took 4-5 hours and I've been in recovery mode for the past 5 weeks. The surgery was noticeable to friends but ver yo has remarked about how they look natural as opposed to some folks who have the eyes operated on to look very wide open. My eyes are still adjusting to the change of light and the swelling is healing well. Dr. Mack and his team are extremely professional!! Tampa Hair Restoration Centers say you can go back to work the next day and the procedure is painless. They could not be more wrong. On day 5, my eyes have almost swollen shut. It looks like I just went a round with Tyson, bruising, discoloration and all. Tampa Hair Restoration Center bases/sells the quality of their results on the experience and skill of their physicians. Yet they don't even have a physician conduct the surgery. My only interaction with the physician was him verifying my name and allergies for 30 seconds pre-op. This is not a knock on the support staff, whom I find very kind and helpful. But a reflection on the sales pitch and horrible pain the aftermath of the procedure entails and lack of disclosure the organization provides regarding your well being. Now I'm stuck with an invasive and painful procedure when I need to return to work. I would have honestly not gone thru with the procedure if informed of these facts, regardless of results.
