For several years, we admired a sloping rock wall in our neighborhood that we learned was erected…read moreby Rock Landscaping, LLC. It replaced a decorative, vertical block wall that had failed after what seemed to us like much too soon, presumably due to the large amount of unstable fill behind, that it had been installed to contain. At our home we had had some decorative and, we'd hoped, slope-stabilizing rockwork, over a decade ago, but time, moose, gravity, and earthquakes, were not kind to it. This season we asked Rock Landscaping to do a much more extensive restoration and improvement job for us. It was quite challenging because our home was built into uneven, sloping terrain necessitating several functional and decorative, inclined, stacked-rock walls to support and improve stability of dirt, grass, and rock-filled areas surrounding our house. To accomplish our job in the best weather, it was rescheduled so the crew showed up in early summer and they attacked our project aggressively with four, focused workers. They arrived early each day and worked hard hours, despite long drives to get here. The whole crew was very personable, accommodating, and results-oriented. When we suggested changes or improvements to the plan, even if it meant redoing sections, they made it happen without complaint. If it rained...oh well...they showed up anyway and gave it their all. They were very alert to potential improvements they could make, where applicable, and they were careful to implement them when we approved. Colton Symbol, our Project Lead, is an excellent crew manager. He kept his guys, and us, as homeowners, informed; he thought ahead; he set a strong example of work ethic; and he demonstrated great customer service. His boss got a great deal in Colton. All-in-all, we have been very pleased with the appearance of the work that Rock Landscaping, LLC did for us. The Stickneys Roger & Michele Anchorage, AK
