Showed up here right when they opened and the gentleman working was kind enough to help us out. He charged our camera battery for an hour free of charge. Of course we gave him something for our gratitude, since he saved our trip and have pictures to remember it forever! They also had a great selection of cameras to look out. Very nice camera shop!

Négatif Plus is possibly the best overall film processing lab in Paris currently, and able to handle an impressive array of traditional film as well as digital formats and printing needs. They're well-organized, but despite that it can get very busy and even veer towards downright bedlam at times. If you have digital printing to have done, send it in via their website and you'll be informed of when your prints will be ready and then you just need to come by for them: to drop off film, alas, you'll have to pop in for an actual visit, so pray you don't come at a busy time or you'll be waiting a bit. Also, they have the capacity to deal with many historical/antique negative formats insofar as contemporary printing and, I believe, retouching/corrective work. They know what they're doing though, make no mistake. They're quite nearly flawless.

Their prices are great for film processing and photo prints. I was visiting Paris on holiday and…read moreneeded to get my film processed before leaving and having to go through the x-ray screenings that can ruin ones unprocessed film. I randomly found this place after trying a few other places that either closed early or no longer existed and I am so glad that I found this place. I initially just stopped in to get my negatives developed. They did such a great job that upon that pickup I decided to have them do the prints as well. They guarantee their work and it's ready the following evening like clockwork. Lines do tend to form quickly there in the evening and also early in the morning just after opening time, but they move quickly if you're just in for pickups and drop offs. The next time I'm in the city I will definitely be using Négatif Plus' services.

I have visited Photo Synthese a few times for passport and visa photos as well as the same for the…read morebaby. What is remarkable about this place, which was recommended to me by a colleague, is that the photographer is familiar with the photo requirements for all sorts of foreign visas and passports. He has seen it all, whether it be a Canadian citizenship application (which he knew had different requirements than a Canadian passport application), an American visa for a French person, or a French work visa for a Canadian person. It is definitely reassuring to know that your application is less likely to be rejected because your photographer knows what he is doing! It is probably a little more expensive (definitely many more times expensive than the photomaton booth) but is worth the piece of mind.
