And, this particular trip actually inspired the purchase of said camera several months ago. So off I went to Cirque Photo, in search of a battery. It took about 2.5 seconds for the lovely staffer to figure out what I needed (my French is very basic) and he led me to the appropriate Nikon accessories. Not only did he offer to charge it for me behind the counter, but he labeled my battery neatly as he was about to go on a break. An hour later, I showed up and my battery was fully-charged and ready to go! The only painful part of this transaction was the cost. 68 EUR for a battery is crazy expensive! Le sigh.

Négatif Plus is possibly the best overall film processing lab in Paris currently, and able to handle an impressive array of traditional film as well as digital formats and printing needs. They're well-organized, but despite that it can get very busy and even veer towards downright bedlam at times. If you have digital printing to have done, send it in via their website and you'll be informed of when your prints will be ready and then you just need to come by for them: to drop off film, alas, you'll have to pop in for an actual visit, so pray you don't come at a busy time or you'll be waiting a bit. Also, they have the capacity to deal with many historical/antique negative formats insofar as contemporary printing and, I believe, retouching/corrective work. They know what they're doing though, make no mistake. They're quite nearly flawless.

I initially just stopped in to get my negatives developed. They did such a great job that upon that pickup I decided to have them do the prints as well. They guarantee their work and it's ready the following evening like clockwork. Lines do tend to form quickly there in the evening and also early in the morning just after opening time, but they move quickly if you're just in for pickups and drop offs. The next time I'm in the city I will definitely be using Négatif Plus' services.
