It's scary for a woman to suggest to another woman to return to a provider that was mean, cold, condescending and rude (a matter that was escalated to upper management at that office). It's so hard navigating the health system when you're unheard and unseen. I share in the sentiment that women's needs seem to be on the back burner. I've heard such great things which is why I wanted to make an appointment in the first place. I'm 14 weeks and have yet to have seen a doctor. Both appointments that have been made have been cancelled by them, the first one within one day of having the appointment. The worst part to me isn't even the cancellations but that you would think that an OBGYN, knowing that many of their clients are probably nervous, hormonal, first-time moms, would be extra compassionate, patient and thorough, explaining the process which is so new. My first contact with their office, being their office assistants, has been anything but that. I've had absolutely no contact with a doctor and what's sad is that I don't think I'll even go here based on their front desk worker, Elma. The only reason I went was for a VA exam. The day of the exam I arrived at a building that looked vacant in a suspect area and checked in before schedule and had to sit and watch these people laugh and socialize for nearly 20 minutes past my appointment. While I sat facing them in this small lobby. I had to approach the window and demand my exam. To find out the person performing my exam was among the staff socializing at the desk. Here I am 2.5 months after the exam and still waiting for them to provide a complete comprehensive report to the VA. So that I may receive my compensation for surgery I had in January 2020. I would never personally choose this company. I'm hoping they lose their contract.
