We had picked a dress & when we went for my daughter to try it on she gave us the excuse that due to the pandemic everything was taking longer so my daughter had to pick a dress from the catalog she has there. When we went to have her try it on, it was dirty, my daughter put it on for pictures & it couldn't have gotten that dirty from our walk to the car, plus the dress was short on my daughter. seemed like it had been previously worn. Her excuse was it probably got dirty when we took it out of the box. It was dirty from several places including the bottom from where it would get dirty while walking if it's too long. The day before our event she called to tell me the party bus broke down so I was getting a Lincoln limo. I never saw her the day of the party. I wanted the table set up like the pic at the store & u can see how it was decorated in the other pic. Only got one bartender, my guests had to line up to get their food. The servers never actually served the food & took it to guests. They make it look like it's going to be so perfect and add this & that but it's all lies. At the last minute she won't come through. The food wasn't as much as we expected, keeping in mind we payed extra for 350 people and it was only enough for 150 people so some guests were left unfed! Was also promised 2 bartenders and only one showed up, 4 servers were also promised and all they did was stand and the guests had to go up to them in order to get their food, two served as the other two stood by and watched! The invite itself is cheap and poor quality I don't know what cheap material they used but the invite started changing color immediately. There's an invites location right next door who I did business with and paid a deposit. I accident ally called Illusiones Mayra thinking it was the business next door well Mayras didn't think of even making sure I was their client .. the whole time I thought I was their client and when I get there and realize I was at the wrong place I had no choice but to pay the invites at a higher price losing my deposit I paid next door .. I know they stole next doors business since I told them I had made a deposit already. When brought up the fact that made a mistake on the address they took no responsibility since I apparently ok'd the invite. Horrible experience! read more

This place is the worst. Their staff is so rude. I went in for a Damas dress and I was told they alterations would be free. I went a week before the event to pick it up the dress the dress had not been altered they said to come back at 6pm. I didn't go back till one day before the event picked up the dress the dress was not cut it still had the pin where it was supposed to be cut shorter. The dress wasn't ironed. So like any other customer I blew up and wasn't happy at all. Their response was if you don't want the dress leave it and we will sale it to someone else. That's very unprofessional. I called and I was told that the way we treat they will treat others. I work customer service and that's not how we treat others. He gave me the "owners" number her name is Mayra so I called her and I was trying to explain to her and she said look lady I already sold you the dress I charged you the alteration so that's the end of it and she hung up on me. If I could I would give Mayra a 0 she is a liar and her work is based on how much she. A take from you. My video was terrible it was two different views separated and we had another party's incorporated to our daughter's 15nera. Mayra was no where insight when it came to the even they where supposed to show baby pictures in the tv screens and it didn't work she charged us for unlimited drinks that she didn't provide and she also was rude and only wanted more and more money. Mayra Cruz Sandoval of Iluciones Mayra & Iluciones Vertigo in Huntington Park 6823 Pacific Blvd. charged and collected over $16,500+ to plan and handle our wedding. and less than 24 hrs before the wedding, Mayra cancelled it because the venue refused to do business with her. the venue cancelled 90 days prior to the wedding and Mayra continued to pretend and collect money. She informed us THE EVENING BEFORE!!! the wedding, when we were supposed to take decorations and drinks for the event. If you can imagine the horror and nightmare, it was to feel so helpless. The stress and anguish of learning of the cancelation with such a short notice was unbearable, and we continue to feel the side effect of feeling so upset, helpless. Mayra sent texts to other people that she did not care about the wedding. She had the audacity to threaten us with legal proceedings. She is pretentious and talks down to people and intimidates people by saying how smart of a businessperson she is and that she was a very good lawyer. Let me tell you that Mayra is a complete disaster of a businessperson. I've attached a letter that the venue sent her on March 11, our wedding was on June 11. but Mayra continued to pretend that she was handling everything. She collected the final portion of the money May 30, two weeks before the event. This has to be illegal, and she deserves jail time for. You can see from her text the night before the wedding at 7:42 pm, she disclosed that she was having legal problems and that she wanted to offer a different location. How on earth did she think we could inform over 150+ people, some who had already rented hotel rooms near the original venue. Needless to say we refused to do business with her that night, she thought that because we had no choice we would be forced to accept her terms. UPDATE,!!! Mayra has gone to police department in Huntington Park and made a false report against me. This is how she has gotten away with her fraud and stealing for so long. She lies and intimidates people. By her own admition, she says what I have claim is true, she admits it. But claims i need legal approval for this this review. read more

The service was absolutely atrocious. I placed an order and they completely forgot about it. Then when I reminded them of the order they had all of the details wrong. One of the ladies apologized and said they will compensate us for the trouble and later on another lady called saying that they made NO mistake and will not be compensating for their errors. My daughter had her quince in 2023 we visited ilusiones Mayra becuase we saw a dress that my daughter liked she tried it on and fell in love with it at first the service was great obviously becuase they want your money when we came back to try on my daughter dress they had promised for everything to be done (crown,ramo, brindis for two, pala y cuchillo, libro de firmas) and it wasn't even done but we didn't look much into it since we still had to come back for the dress for alteration my daughter dress came ripped and the owner ripped it more and blamed it on the place where they ordered it (she was mad becuase we didn't want to use there crinolina) once everything was done it was horrible the quality was so bad my daughter send her a picture of a beautiful ramo and a got a bad ramo they put some cheap different color flowers on it since I don't live by the owner wanted to charge me extra for trying on the dress on the weekend due to "having to shut down the store to try on" as you can tell they were bad quality flowers and had stuff we didn't want only one big jewel instead of multiple don't recommend go to Moda 2000 or a professional place save your money and time read more

This place is the worst to do business with. 1 week before the party, Mayra tells us that we have to move to another location because someone died at the Lincoln Plaza Hotel in Monterey Park. Everything is unprofessional, why would a business advertise a package deal & then turn around & not honor what is paid for $16k is alot of money!! I ordered center pieces for an event on 07/2021 we agreed on them delivering and setting up everything for all of the tables. Hours before the event i learned that they only put together half of the center pieces and they left everything else thrown on a chair for us to put together. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!!! She changed the name on Yelp to Iluciones Mayra considering how bad her reviews are! She was hired for a wedding 10/07 and nothing on the contract was abided by! The servers were hired as part of the contract with venue to pass out food for the guests. This was not done. Family members actually had to step in and pass out food themselves. In addition, there was not enough food provided for the guests, which should have been something on their part considering everything came with contract. Also, they were not providing enough beverages to guests, even though we provided more than enough for everyone. The decorations that we chose for the wedding, were also not there! Nothing on the contract was what we actually got! Also, The venue was CHANGED LAST MINUTE! Had to notify all our guests a week before of the address change! Additionally, there was NO AC. The venue was way too hot and no AC provided. I just had my wedding planned by Ilusiones Mayra yesterday (Nov 10,18) and it all came out beautiful!!! I loved every detail. I was unsure at first because of the bad reviews here. When I first saw I wanted to cry thinking it might all go wrong. However I stayed and I'm glad I did! And I was a very picky very annoying customer! Lol calling allllll the time!! So much they knew me by name already! Lol just to make sure everything was on point and on track. I got the al inclusive packet (video, photos, cake, food, limo, venue) so I interacted with many of the people they work with and their staff. Everyone was super helpful! Mayra herself was ALWAYS nice and always responded to my message and calls and any concerns or questions I had. I had a very pleasant and satisfactory experience with Carmen as well. Very knowledgeable and resourceful, caring and very patient! My experience the the videographers and the photographers were amazing! The 2 guys were very patient and creative, and very open to any personal request for ideas or photo poses. They were polite and very professional. The food was DELICIOUS!! We got birria and chicken in chipotle sauce. The cake was moist and not super sweet. Fruit felt fresh and tasty! The details on the entrance of the hall were amazing!! I didn't know I was having them.. but I loved them! Lol We did our event in Casa Vertigo (second floor) the staff there was all so nice!!!! The security was ON POINT!!! Walking throughout the whole floor looking in the dance floor the bar area and the main lobby, as well as securing the entrance of our guests only. Overall I had a great experience despite of my over thinking. I was just a bride that was a bit scared of having my special day ruined or having to be one of those cases in which people run off with the hard earned money. I didn't have a good nor bad experience. In the beginning everything was going well, I had picked out the invitations I wanted but then got called that the material wasn't available. We went back and choose other invitations. From the day we choose the new ones they said they would send a sample two days after but never did. I had to keep calling in order for them to send the sample. Once they did the process was pretty quick!
