They have regular programs for the kids ie. movies and popcorn. You can borrow free passes to museums, programs, etc. Last summer I borrowed a pass to the Maritime Museum in Vergennes for the pirate festival.

I drove by here early in the day. I was heading North and knew Id be passing back by on my way…read moreback South. When I passed by in the morning it wasn't open, but even then there were books outside just calling out to be perused. So upon my return, some 7 hours later, I stopped in. Easy parking out front. It's huge. Books for days. These are used books, and many are in great shape, and priced accordingly. This isn't the cheapest used bookstore I've come across, but I think it's the most extensive. I wasn't looking for anything specific so didn't ask for anything. But I spent time in the cookbook and travel book sections. Huge. So many to choose from. Many decades of choices, including recent, especially important in the travel book section. I found the pricing a little higher than I expected, but I picked up some books anyway. Used bookstores keep books relevant and out of landfills both. Gotta love that.

It's hard to miss with a black roof, just off the road. There is a single door secured by a twist catch. Inside, two shelves of books. Paperbacks and hardcovers. This is a beautiful campus, located less than 5 hours from New York. Campus is not huge and blends…read morein with the surrounding business area. It's a small town. Everything is within walking distance. The folks in the town and at the school are so helpful and friendly. You walk and you get a smile or a hello. Everyone is polite and what a difference from NY. That's Vermont for you. Tip: Middlebury puts on quite a show for all the seasons.

I've always found the librarian most helpful and the setting in the historic old Town Hall exceedingly charming. They frequently run programs for children and adults alike and sponsor interesting speakers from time to time. The only reason I cannot rate this with five stars is the small collection.
