Found a Groupon for 10 classes to try this place out and here's my review:…read morePRO: totally works, its fun, if you have tried kickboxing you will love this place. if you have tried bootcamp its pretty much like bootcamp with kickboxing. You will SWEAT. Pretty intense workout, it is hard at first but you will get used to it. Great friendly staff. They will assist you if you need help with combos etc. CON: Booking, booking, booking. I mean I understand that there are limited punching bags and they want to accommodate people but its not a come as you go place. You MUST book in advance however, you can only book 1 class at a time. You cannot book several classes in advance. You can only CALL them to book as for some reason they dont take bookings via email. So if you're the type that like to schedule and plan in advance this may not be the most flexible for you. Otherwise if you dont mind it then you should totally try this place. Membership is pretty pricey $100+ a month if your new, I dont know if it goes lower if you're a longer member.

I hate gyms. I can't stare off into space and mindlessly run on a treadmill. I need to be engaged,…read morephysically and mentally. Discovering kickboxing was a game changer for me. I loved it from my very first class - I was SO far out of my comfort zone and way beyond my fitness level, and every inch of my body hurt; but I loved it, and was so excited when ILKB opened in my neighborhood. The space is great, plenty of room to move around and really get into your groove. There are classes 7 days a week, and a membership means you can go to as many as you want, without having to pre-book. I never know when I will get out of the office, so really appreciate the flexibility and timing of the classes. While the classes are all structured the same, each one varies, so you don't get bored or stuck in the same old boring routine. You will SWEAT. You may wonder, mid-way through the warm up, if you will even make it to the bag rounds, but you WILL make it and that feeling of accomplishment will bring you back time and time again. The staff and members are motivating and encouraging and there is a sense of community, which is a nice touch. Oh, and once a month, there is a DJ night, I mean, come one, does your old gym have a DJ? No? Then you're at the wrong gym.

My experience has been so overwhelmingly positive that both of my children now attend the MMA classes as well. The gym's greatest asset is the caliber of its coaching, and instructor Sal is a prime example of this excellence. His knowledge is truly top-notch, reflecting a lifetime of dedication to the martial arts. He is incredibly generous with this expertise, and I have consistently found his instruction to be of a very high level. The private lessons I have taken with him were exceptional and significantly accelerated my progress. This sentiment is shared by multiple friends I've recommended to the gym. They have all enjoyed their time there and can't speak highly enough about Sal's skills, abilities, and coaching style. In fact, many were so impressed that they have also undertaken private lessons with him. If you're looking for an opportunity to improve as a person, develop as a martial artist, get in better shape, or build a real knowledge base for self-defense, this is a great gym. For anyone trying to level up their skills, the environment here is second to none.

But the mgt are just too strict to let you stay for a cool down after class. 15 mins to cool down and shower? Seriously?! I mean come on, you're paying the membership so you should have enough time to rest, relax and cool down. But what happened there? You should understand. Another, the main receptionist is not welcoming at all and very blunt. Seems like she's choosing people whom to accommodate. Kickboxing instructor, Sasha, was good but he was too pushy!! Their kickboxing room was so disgusting it smelled like a rotten foot.

Last November I went to take a class and the receptionist told me I have no class under my account. I only used 10times so there should be at least 40 classes unused. She said it's all expired. I was like what... she told me the owner sold the business and new owner decided to put expire date. I had no clues about it and paid $400. She said I paid money to previous owner not current one. She let me take a class for free on the day and new owner contacted me later saying if I pay $30 as re activation fee I could use my class tickets again BUT within 3 months. I did 10 classes in a year, how can I do 40 classes within 3 months. Why do I need to pay again since I already paid $400. Even I live very close from the studio I will never go there again. Very disappointed!
