Requested vehicle to be detailed and scheduled a date and time on September 10th 2025 between 12-1 PM for Edgar to come out. Edgar required me to put a deposit down as a new customer and then proceeded to no call no show on the appointment despite keeping my deposit and not responding to texts days after missing the scheduled appointment. Do not recommend this business at all, this behavior is highly unacceptable and practically fraudulent for requiring a deposit and then not showing up to complete the service and not returning the funds. Extremely unprofessional behavior and is clearly a continuous issue with this person as mentioned in previous reviews. read more

Needed to find a mobile auto detailer. Went with Illustrious and couldn't be more pleased! Great customer service. The owner kept in contact often and alerted when he would arrive. When I reached out, the owner was very quick to respond and helpful in answering all my questions. They are flexible with scheduling and were able to fit us in at a time that worked for us. The quality of the work was exceptional. We received multiple comments on how clean and nice the car looked after a detail and ceramic coating. If you feel something is off, Edgar will correct it. They did a great job on the interior detail for my car both times around. I've been looking all over the HD for a good detailing place and this is not it. I paid $110 thinking my car would come out amazing. Was I wrong!! They dried my windshield with my windshield wipers!!! There was a dirt stain on the inside of my door AND my car was still dripping water when I got it. These guys rock if you need a great. I mean if you want an outstanding detail you call illustrious these guys will make your car shine brighter then Rihanna's diamond. I can tell you my car has been neglected for a good while and they came to my house and made my car look like it came off the show room floor. And they have so many packages to get your car detailed from.basic to extream they even do ceramic coating also they are certified to do clear bras to avoid paint chipping . I went for The works package interior wash and exterior and I can say WOW!. I will be using them from now on. Easy appointment set up as well and they call to confirm. I was not going to post a review but I get more and more upset thinking about how I was treated and how much I spent for almost no results. I paid to have a 2 stage swirl removal done. They told me that was their specialty. Edgar said that 1 stage removes about 80% of swirls and 2 stage 95%. I would say they removed 20% of my swirls. I had to bring my car back to them and Edgar claimed it was just swirls left by the first stage. Still only about 30 to 40% swirls removed. Also, he dented my roof and I had to go get that fixed. Edgar paid for it but between Edgars shop and the dent removal my car was gone for about 10 days. Also they are not at the shop during their posted business hours and will tell you to get your car when the lighting is the worst for inspecting. I cant believe Edgar didnt give me a discount for all he put me through. Instead I paid full price for trash work. I could say so much more but dont have the time. Take your car somewhere else and get it done right. I have to pay another $500 to get my car done right. read more

If I have one suggestion, the wonder should probably invest in a good place for customers to sit if they have to stay. They had a waiting area but it had become a new storage area. Edgar and the crew run a tight ship with everything they do. If you're vehicle isn't perfect, they will keep going until it is, whether it be their basic Executive wash or a ceramic coating job. Illustrious is the only mobile detail service I will let touch my BMWs. I've tried the other guys, and always felt disappointed. Illustrious always leaves my cars looking and smelling fresh, even my 1990 BMW 750IL that I dragged out of the prior owners backyard after sitting for 6 years. I'm saving my pennies right now for one of their Ceramic Pro coatings, the only guys trained to apply the proper coating in the High Desert. read more

Unfortunately, I have to update my review. Shortly after getting paint correction and a ceramic coating I noticed that my car was getting swirl marks and marring even though I've followed all the guidelines in washing my car. My car also doesn't have the gloss and smoothness of a ceramic coated car. I called Edgar to let him know about the issues I've been having and he set up and appointment to come out and inspect the car. Edgar never showed up to the appointment and he didn't even text me to let me know he couldn't make it. After spending a lot of money on the paint protection I find that I have to get someone else to do the job the right way. read more
