I was originally going to go to another place down the street but I had a change of plans and that one was closed on that day (Monday) and while I was already in the city I decided to just go ahead and got my tattoo. I called this place last minute as a walk-in and the lady at the front was super nice and accommodating. I studied abroad in Sydney for four months and I wanted to get a tattoo commemorating my time in Australia before I left back to the US later that week. And I LOVE my small single line kangaroo. This place is HARD to find and actually within an apartment building so you have to buzz in first once you find the door located street side in between shops and restaurants. The building had such a great vibe with graffiti EVERYWHERE and once you get to the fifth floor where the shop is located there's a beautiful outdoor section with a walkway and more graffitied walls. It's an incredible find. Can't remember the name of the guy who tattooed me, but it was a quick and simple tattoo sesh!

That's until you hear the buzzing sound of the tattoo machine. Behind the counter, I found a couple of people being tattooed by the artists with one of the artists asking if I needed help. Browsing through each artist, they all had different styles, from Japanese to traditional sailor. It'll cost you about $170-$200 per hour, which is the standard price. Well worth it if you're wanting a large piece.

No appointment was needed, I rocked up and presented my design and was asked to wait 10 minutes for the artist to finish up. Though that could be because I got a really small tattoo that took about 5 minutes to do. Staff was friendly, as was the artist. My biggest gripe was the cost...$100 + $10 GST for $110. My tattoo is really small, (seriously, it's 1.2 cm x 1.2 cm) but it's the minimum charge. If you have a small tattoo I suggest you go elsewhere for a cheaper price, but they do a good job here.

They do great manicures too (ask for Lauren - she's excellent) and you can't go past $6 for an upper lip wax. Six bucks! That's less than the price of a piece of cake at one of the cafes in the fancy Westfield. I have been having laser there for about 6 months and I'm really happy with the progress.

Terrible nail job! Untrained staff. I got my shellac…read moremanicure done there for my weekend party. The first staff couldn't do her job properly she made me have a sore bleeding finger. And the colour was applied unevenly and the edge of the nail painted in a zigzag shape. when I tried to show and explain to her, she couldn't understand me.... So here came the second staff. She continued the painting and said ' i know it not perfect. But that's the best I can do....' so did I go to the nail shop just to get some imperfect nail painting? Totally speechless! Won't step in to this shop again. Worst nail painting experience ever!!!
