Would you go in for surgery and have glad wrap put on your stitches? No. So, when I say oh, I've just got glad wrap on it, there's really no need to roll your eyes. Anyhoo, mini rant. Maybe she was just having a bad day, and honestly if I were going to get any more tattoos, I'd go back there. I wouldn't trust any other shop to touch me.

I have had many piercings & this is by far my worst experience. As soon as I got into the room the piercer told me he had been drunk on & off for the last 3 days & said "I probably shouldn't be doing this" then assured me it would be okay. He proceeded to tell me that he went to his last job high on cocaine. By this stage, I was petrified. He lined them up (traced my previous scars), rushed it, put the needle through practically the centre of my nipple (it was diagonal instead of horizontal). It was extremely painful. Next, for the second piercing, it too wash rushed, wonky & more painful than the last time. It was at least half a centimetre off. At the end, he asked if I liked them & I said yes because I dreaded the though of him ever piercing me again. I sent a complaint to the head office about a week or so ago & still no response. Such a waste. I went to Off Ya Tree & the PROFESSIONAL & EXPERIENCED piercer fixed it so wonderfully. Very disappointed in HHW.

But then again, there are certain undercurrents in the store; the tattooed attendant stands over a glass cabinet full of tiny scales that weight tiny amounts, and they also sell bongs and other instruments. And theres a clothes compartment out back too, so the place has a few different things to sell. I think either it's something you'll revel in, or you'll hate it there. Mick on the front desk is very helpful and the guy who inked me ; Rex from America was great because I wasnt really prepared and he drew the design that was in my head. Its $50 deposit and I paid $450 in total but I was there for a few hours. Very clean, very comfortable and busy. Nice people. it looks brand knew but has been here for 5 years . The girls are all really lovely, and you're in and out in 10 minutes for an underarm/bikini laser treatment. Warning - it's drop-in so it can get pretty busy, particularly around lunch time, so make an appointment if you have a schedule to keep. They do great manicures too (ask for Lauren - she's excellent) and you can't go past $6 for an upper lip wax. Six bucks! That's less than the price of a piece of cake at one of the cafes in the fancy Westfield. I have been having laser there for about 6 months and I'm really happy with the progress.

And the colour was applied unevenly and the edge of the nail painted in a zigzag shape. when I tried to show and explain to her, she couldn't understand me.... So here came the second staff. I was originally going to go to another place down the street but I had a change of plans and that one was closed on that day (Monday) and while I was already in the city I decided to just go ahead and got my tattoo. I called this place last minute as a walk-in and the lady at the front was super nice and accommodating. I studied abroad in Sydney for four months and I wanted to get a tattoo commemorating my time in Australia before I left back to the US later that week. And I LOVE my small single line kangaroo. This place is HARD to find and actually within an apartment building so you have to buzz in first once you find the door located street side in between shops and restaurants. The building had such a great vibe with graffiti EVERYWHERE and once you get to the fifth floor where the shop is located there's a beautiful outdoor section with a walkway and more graffitied walls. It's an incredible find. Can't remember the name of the guy who tattooed me, but it was a quick and simple tattoo sesh!
