Along with piles and piles of beautiful china, they also sell electrical kitchen appliances, pots, pans and many other things for kitchen. You can also find glasses and cutlery there. Don't expect anything less than Christofle though. They also have quite a selection of children porcelain sets, which I think make beautiful gifts. Themes are both traditional and moderm, i.e. Benjamin Bunny and Die Maus can co-exist on one shelf. Very beautiful shop, worth visiting.

Damit wechselte der gelernte Graveur vom Handwerk zum Handel - mit feinen Gläsern und Glaswaren. Sein Sohn Friedrich Weitz stieg in seine Fußstapfen und eröffnete 1892 das erste Geschäft in Hannover. Auch hier wurde zunächst mit feinen Glaswaren gehandelt, bis zur Jahrhundertwende erstes Porzellan aus England hinzukam. Mit Otto Töpperwien gründete Friedrich Weitz 1904 das Ladenlokal in Hamburg am Neuen Wall. Heute führt Jürgen Weitz die Firmengruppe in fünfter Generation. Trotz des eher schrumpfenden Marktes entwickelt sich das Unternehmen erneut gegen den Trend. Neben den vier Ladenlokalen in Hamburg (2x), Hannover und Bielefeld, floriert das Geschäft im Internet. We stumbled across this shop walking around St Pauli on a Saturday morning. I am glad I decided to…read morewalk in here for a peek. A shop that sells things made from all sorts of recycled materials like old vinyl, old oil drums, skateboards and so on. It's really nice creative stuff that is not too expensive. The owner is a really nice and friendly guy and everything they sell comes from the region and local artists. They will ship things for you and they have an online portal for further shopping. Go check it out and support local artists. We resisted the urge to shop a lot here :-) I specially loved Bob the tables and cabinets made from recycled oil drums. A gem of a shop in the city.

Love this place. Could have moved in to one of the great looking, totally cool and utterly awesome…read morelockers made out of an oil barrel. But instead I went home to Denmark and promptly ordered both locker and couch table online (didnt fit in my luggage). Go to Markstrasse and visit this gem. Take your time in the small but interresting shop. Buy something, or at least be amazed with the great ideas for upcycling barrels, vinyls and what not.
