It is always a pleasure to work with Blake for several reasons. Blake always listens carefully to what the home owner envisions for their landscape lighting. He understands the advantages to various types of fixtures and their placement in order to achieve the perfect balance of light throughout one's yard. The installation process is smooth and there are no wires visible which also makes the yard look magical. Blake made my yard look like a boutique hotel every evening. Equal to the expert skill possessed by Blake is his most delightful manner and personality. He is always exactly on time, does precisely what he says he will do and is extremely kind! Blake is absolutely the best in every way! read more

Blake and his team are outstanding when it comes to both lighting design and installation. He has been very responsive and they do high quality work. Blake has installed lighting at my house and at another family member's house and both were completed exceptionally well. I highly recommend Blake and this company! read more

Blake is the best. I've been working with him since 2019 for my house in Mandeville, and he never pushed me to do more than I needed to. I wanted to do some fixes originally, and now we are in the process of planning a full redo on the property, which has a long driveway, and lot, and lots of lighting. He's putting out fantastic options, and broke the quotes down into several bite sized projects t make it affordable. We'll see where we go from here, but... Blake should be your first call. I can see why his ratings have stayed so high over the years. read more

Illuminations Lighting Design never disappoints! Previously used them for landscape lighting and today Cesar and Mario came to the house to install down-lights for artwork and I am so happy...it is perfect! The devil is in the detail and they are always meticulous. These guys are class acts! Chris, the Service Manager, always does his best to accommodate your schedule and always follows-up. I highly recommend Illumination Lighting Design from design to installation to ongoing repair and maintenance. read more

Three words: CREATIVE, RELIABLE, RESPONSIVE We cannot say enough great things about Blake's artistic ability to light our front and back yard in just a few days. We got three estimates and, while Blake's wasn't the lowest estimate we got, we knew right away that he had the eye to make our landscape lighting wants a reality. I appreciated his quote which included all of the items him and his team would be doing such as installation with proper electrical tubing and staples. He also gave great recommendations and customized to fit our lighting needs and budget without compromising the quality. Even on site, he was the only lighting pro that actually brought a fixture to showcase the quality and durability along with explaining how it would be set in the ground. With the estimate, he provided photo examples of other types of fixtures he had recommended so we had an idea of how it would look. As a customer, being able to see and feel the product makes a big difference and shows the thought and care behind Blake's work. We're extremely happy with how our lighting turned out. Blake and his partner went above and beyond to exceed our expectations. The hanging lights you see in the photos are custom and yet another bonus for going with this company as a differentiated business. I would recommend anybody that's looking for landscape lighting to get an estimate and know that by going with Illumination lighting, you won't be disappointed. And they're so responsive! Wish all companies were like this! read more

I cannot say enough about Blake and Illumination Lighting. He transformed our yard and we love the results. The home we purchased had non working landscape lighting. The realtor recommended Blake to come and have a look. He was able to work with our landscape clean up schedule and have everything installed a short time after. We love being out on the veranda enjoying the beautiful lighting in our back yard that illuminates the landscaping and allows us to see our dog when he is outside at night. Some of the led lights used are color changing and made Christmas lighting a snap. All I had to was use a remote to change the colors from white to red and green. There are a host of other colors as well for whatever strikes your mood. Blake was a delight to work with, created a wonderful lighting design for the yard and did a detailed installation. If you want to light up your yard or business, do not hesitate to contact him, you will be pleased with the results. Thank you Blake for delivering exactly what we wanted at our home. read more

This review is long overdue, but this guy is the absolute best. He and his associate came out to my place to hear my thoughts and draw up an estimate. He listened to everything I was thinking and explained exactly what they could do for me, along the way coming up with several incredible ideas. I couldn't believe how much time they were willing to spend figuring it all out. You can really tell they love what they do. The estimate was totally reasonable and Blake even worked with me to cut it back further. I had to end up holding off on the project due to my own finances, but I fully intend to hire him when I'm ready and I really appreciate his time. read more

Blake installed landscape lighting along my driveway 4 years ago and recently came back to repair two severed wires due to gardeners' carelessness. First, he did an amazing job with the lighting, taking into consideration my wish for subtle, atmospheric lighting while keeping costs down. Second, he responded to my call about the severed wires immediately and came to repair them in a very timely manner, not expecting payment because he was on another job nearby and the repair did not take long. As others have said, not only is he incredibly talented and responsible, but he's an extremely nice person who is a pleasure to deal with. read more

Blake did the most incredible job lighting our front and backyard. When he came to meet with us, we had no existing lighting in the front or back except what was attached our house. He had an incredible vision and transformed our front yard into a magical, beautifully lit sanctuary and our backyard is now perfectly lit for entertaining in the evenings. We had met with multiple specialists previous to Blake, only to be disappointed. He went the extra mile to make sure that everything was exactly how we wanted it and was happy to come back for adjustments. He has a very artistic eye and was able to help guide us through the process. He was incredibly responsive, positive and nice to work with. Blake is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Such a wonderful person to work with and would absolutely recommend him to anyone. I needed to re-do all of my landscape lighting after a construction job. Blake came out, gave me some ideas, showed me examples of the lights he uses, and gave me a quote. I didn't even care about the price -- Blake was so professional and passionate about his work and wanting to help me, that it was no question I was excited to work with him. We had a multi-day job, and Blake was there on time every day, kept his materials organized in our yard, and walked me through everything I was doing to make sure I was happy. He even reached out the first evening the lights went live to make sure I went and checked them out and provided him feedback. Nothing but positivity after working with Blake and would recommend him to anyone! read more

Blake must be a very popular gentleman, as he is constantly and literally bringing light to his clients' homes! Always gracious, kind, and genteel, Blake immediately responded to my recent call, even though he and his electrician installed our outdoor lights back in 2012. Since then, my family and I have not only felt a sense of security; the exterior ambience of our home changed for the better. The light units are sturdy and of high quality, and Blake carefully chose the location of the lights to highlight our front yard's best features and customized lighting to suit our landscape. He's a design genius who can transform an ordinary outdoor space to an illuminated oasis! After his recent visit, he even took the time that evening to call us to see if the lighting worked well, and of course it did! My family is most grateful for his expertise and reliability. Blake truly cares about his clients and will create the perfect lighting layout in your outdoor living space. Why would you work with any other company? read more

Another stellar job by Blake and his team!! He came to help fix, upgrade, replace, reposition, and clean our existing lighting and timers but also reviewed what was there and made suggestions to fill in empty spots that needed work. I appreciated that he didn't just upsell everything and made thoughtful recommendations and was considerate about what items still had life in them. Great communication, very responsive, superior value for money, and truly a pleasure to work with. HIGHLY recommend!! read more

Last minute, I get a call from my boss that we're filming a music video the following day and he wants the room lit with hanging lights from 15 feet high. I visit Illumination with the hopes of getting a last minute order of 20 Edison light bulbs each with its own standard electric plug with a cord length of 15 feet. Blake was the man and helped me out! Blake and his install person went full speed setting up my order (which I requested (hence last minute)). Every single light bulb worked BRIGHT and perfectly! Our video came out a success and best of all, the music video director and client were very happy :) lol! I'll be back to shop again for sure. The customer service was excellent, the price was fair, the quality of the lights are great and they definitely have a variety of all lighting inventory. read more

Blake is one of the nicest people you ever want to meet. In addition to being such a wonderful human being, he is a creative artist. We recently re-landscaped our entire home and needed landscaping lights. His design was magnificent. Blake uses quality products. He very carefully installs each light to provide maximum effect. The installation job was fantastic. Every day the area is cleaned up. He made our home look like a boutique hotel. I can't say enough great things about Blake. I found Blake on Yelp and decided to use him based upon the prior reviews. I found his pricing very reasonable and well worth the cost. read more

Blake did the most wonderful job on the whole yard for us. The front yard looks magical, the side yards look great and the back yard is phenomenal! Blake brings to the job a perfect combination of imaginative artist and capable electrician. His design instincts are impeccable, but he's not precious about his recommendations -- he is eager for input and is always accommodating. His pricing is clear and fair, and there are no hidden charges. Blake was able to salvage some of our existing lighting, which helped the budget, and the refurbished fixtures look as good as the new ones. On top of everything else, Blake is just such a nice guy -- it feels like he's the friend next door you've known for years. I can't say enough about Blake. Unfortunately I don't have a landscape for him to design due to the fact that I don't have a backyard in my apartment. But I am recommending him to two of my friends and I know that he will come through. Half the lamps in my apartment and my neighbors apartment are from Illumination lighting. There's always something in the store that I could buy always I just have to find more room. And Blake himself is a kind, very helpful, knowledgeable and no pressure "Shopkeeper". curlygirl36@aol.com read more

I sell light bulbs, and came into this store to leave a catalog. Blake is very friendly. The showroom has a lot of very different types of lighting. You do not see that much anymore. I would highly recommend Blake for all your lighting needs. read more

Blake is a true professional. I work in the construction business so I come across a lot of Contractors, vendors and people in the industry. Most vendors want to get in and out and get the job done and I get that. Blake is the opposite. It's rare to find these days someone who deeply cares about their trade so much like an art. He takes landscape lighting to the next level and really is passionate about it. It's fun to watch him get excited. He will transform your space without a doubt. If you need landscape lighting, look no further. Also, you can't compare his work or quality of materials to what you would buy it off the shelf at Home Depot or some other place online. I went to this lighting store on the suggestion of a friend as I had a desk lamp that needed a weird-o light bulb....it didn't just screw in like a 'normal' light bulb. They had a small lot in back of the store so I was not able to find parking and ended up parking on the street...no problem and it was free. I spoke with Blake at the counter and showed him the lamp for which I needed a bulb. He located a light bulb and actually put it in for me ...thank you for that. :-) He was very helpful and friendly. This is a really cute, small store......all things lighting and unique fixtures. If I ever need anything else lighting wise I will re-visit. I like places that actually know what the term customer service means! If you provide great customer service, you get 5 stars from me! :-) read more

While renovating I happily discovered Illumination. Great selection of lighting fixtures at affordable prices. Lighting and lamps is something we take for granted most of the time, but having a beautiful lamp and good lighting in a room can make all the difference between a ho-hum space and something that's cozy and inviting. At least that's what I saw after upgrading the lighting. They were really helpful here, night and day when you compare against getting lost in one of those giant warehouse where you have to walk through a ghost town-like atmosphere in hopes of tracking down someone to help. At this point I'm done with the renovations, but I still end up at Illumination every now and again to pick up light bulbs. Same great service, even when only spending a couple bucks on bulbs. read more

Blake's Illumination Lighting checks all the boxes: He's an expert in design, installation and is the most accommodating person you can imagine. He did a fabulous job, upgrading the outdated, outdoor lighting we'd been dealing with for nearly two decades. He gave us great options from which to choose, and was beyond patient as we went back and forth between our two semi-finalists. Equally impressive, he doesn't try to oversell/overlight your property. When I asked him about adding more fixtures in a couple areas, he said, "You don't need them." And finally, he was 5-star when it came to the installation: Everything was done on time, on budget and he left the site meticulously clean. We couldn't be happier with the work and with Blake.
