After making me wait 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I can understand refusing service, but the long lecture and speaking to me as if I was a child was uncalled for. She told me I was welcome to go to someone else to get my piercing as if I was a child. Then proceeded to ask me to reschedule. I'm not against people having boundaries and deciding what they think is best for their situation but I'm not for being talked down to and spoken to as if I'm not an adult.

So here in this review, I am going to show you the first tattoo that Alex did for me 4 months ago, and then the last tattoo that was done yesterday... Also by Alex. He is my artist, and I am extremely happy with his work. Four months ago, Alex created a monarch butterfly out of thin air, and then touched up the monarch that was already on my arm. Both pieces of artwork or stunning, and still are today. Yesterday, I went and got my second tattoo at Gold City Tattoo's. Alex created a beautiful water lily from a photo that I handed to him a couple months ago. It was done in gray tone and line work, with a slight blast of color in the water lily. This tattoo studio is nothing like any that I've been to before. There is no loud music blasting, no harsh lighting, and the people are very personable and really do make you feel comfortable. As everyone knows who has tattoo work, tattoos are not cheap! If you want them done right and done to almost perfection, you need to pay the price. For all the tattoo places that I've been to, Gold City Tattoo is very reasonable, and very competitive in pricing. Please give them a call if you want to chat about getting a tattoo or have any questions for them. Rob is the owner and Alex works there as an artist. Rob's wife, Lisa works throughout the studio, and Alex's wife, Jen is an amazing piercer who just won the 2023 award for best piercer in Dawsonville. Feel free to ask me any questions in regards to Gold City Tattoo, but do not ask me the price of my tattoos. All tattoos are priced differently, and pricing is something I do not disclose.

Sooooooo storytime…read more.. I've been wanting my ears pierced since I was in middle school. So many of my peers had them and I wanted them as well. Beyond my attempt to "fit in", I always felt it looked cool. Well, having pretty strict, traditional parents, I wasn't allowed to have any piercings or tattoos. After moving out for college, I eventually got the courage to get a tattoo and now I have so many, I've lost count. But I never got the strength to get my ears pierced. I was told that I was too old now to have them. I was also slightly traumatized from my childhood of being yelled at every time I would ask to get my ears pierced. I still would never want judgement from my parents or want them to think different of me, but I finally found the strength. I went into 2023 saying that this was the year that I was finally going to do the things I've been wanting to do for the longest. Prior to my arrival, I planned to go to a location that uses a piercing gun, until I researched that needle piercings are much better for several reasons. It was then that I looked up tattoo shops near me and this location came up. Coincidentally, my wife's friend got pierced here before, so it felt like fate. My Piercing Experience: This shop is cool. I was then greeted by the staff and asked what services I wanted and given consent forms to sign as well as pricing options. For me, one ear lobe is $50. Both ear lobes is $75. I then picked out what earrings I wanted for the piercing ($10/earring). Once called back, my piercer Bryt, was super cool and super friendly. She explained the process and the healing process. She even gave me some breathing tips that would help calm my nerves during the piercing. I know it sounds crazy, but I truly hate needles. Once she cleaned my earlobes, she placed spots on my ear with marker to mark the location of the hole that would go in my ear. Once I confirmed and she took a second look, it was time to go. She did it so fast, I barely event felt them. It felt like a toddler thumping my ears. LOL. Once leaving, she offered the sterilizing solution, which they sell for $15 in store. Overall, I truly enjoyed my experience. If you're considering getting pierced or getting your child pierced, go see Bryt. She's the best!

Saw Maria today to get my nose studs changed out for rings (I've been saying I was going to do this…read morefor years), a helix piercing, & a rook piercing (I had both in the past but took them out well over a decade ago). She was super nice & easy to talk to & asked me how I was doing the whole time even though I'm a natural redhead & we have a bizarre tolerance for pain. I went with basic jewelry to start, but I'm gonna get something more flashy once they heal. It was about $200 with tip for the services & jewelry which is honestly less than I was expecting. The studio was bright & clean. There were 2 tattoo artists there who were also really nice. Will definitely be back to get fancier jewelry & more piercings from Maria.
