Dawn is an excellent assistant as is Bogdana. I've never had an issue with communication. Very kind and patient. The team works together to create a calm, welcoming and soothing environment. At my first appointment, he discovered tears in my retina. He diagnosed me promptly and throughly. He then made room for me during that same appointment for an emergency procedure to repair the tears before they caused a detached retina. A hundred blasts of a laser and the problem is resolved -no issue since the repair. . As you can imagine this is nerve wracking. All through this, he was very calm and reassuring. He is very kind and patient during the stressful procedure. I like how he explains what he is doing, what the condition is, it's impact and treatment in layman's terms. I feel fully informed at all steps. I have confidence in what he tells me. I doubt I would have had the the success I enjoy with another doctor. He is humble and sees his work as a calling. He is a good man who I recommend unconditionally.

I had previously undergone the same surgery for my left eye, done by another surgeon at another practice, and as I said to Dr. Cohen, my experience with him was like a ride in a private jet; the earlier surgery, in contrast, was more like a Greyhound bus trip. Not only is Dr. Cohen a healer in the purest sense -- a master of his craft, who also radiates care and concern for his patients -- but his entire staff shares his attitude and demeanor. Every contact with everyone in his office, pre-op and post-op, demonstrated their genuine investment in my comfort and well-being. As for the surgery, whereas my previous operation was done under general anesthetic, with the attendant post-anesthesia issues, this one was performed with no more than a local. It turns out there had been no reason to put me completely under the first time. I was thus fully conscious and able to observe the calm, self-assured manner in which he directed his assistants through an atypical procedure, due to some unforeseen anomalies in the structure of my eye. Nevertheless, he was able to completely repair and restore the vision in my right eye. Thank you Dr. Cohen! Furthermore, he and his staff bent over backwards to adapt to my rather difficult schedule, instead of insisting that I conform to theirs. Another stark contrast with my previous surgery. Consequently, after a full day, including another operation at a different hospital entirely, he willingly agreed to fit me in at 6:00 PM, and in addition, called the house at 9:30 that night to make sure I was in good shape post-op. Thank you again, Dr. Cohen; thank you to his entire staff. I'm very very grateful and appreciative. This is what medicine should be!

It shows they care for their patients. Nurse Dawn took a detailed history for our daughter (who had gotten a scary read from an optometrist yesterday). Dawn made us all very comfortable as she did some initial tests. And when we saw Dr Ravage, he was efficient, but thorough, reassuring and informative. In all, he was able to put us at ease and let us know our daughter would be just fine. We are so grateful they fit us in, so we only had one night yesterday without sleep, rather than many nights otherwise waiting to get in for an appointment. So yes, you may have to wait longer to see the doctor but that's because they are taking time with each patient, just as they will take time with you. It will be a happy New Year's day for us, thanks to Dr. Ravage and his office.

Throughout the time he has had to perform four separate, but unrelated surgeries for retina detachments in both eyes. My eyes have finally stabilized, vision repaired and restored, and I am healing well. Without Dr. Ravage's expertise and incredible staff (Dawn, Bogdana, Noel, Christine and many others) I could have gone blind. They were quick to diagnose and treat my issues (same day) with the most up-to-date procedures which did not require hospitalization. Dr Ravage has a kind demeanor and calmly assures patients as he explains every step of the surgical procedure in detail as he treats you. I recommend Dr Zac Ravage without hesitation!

No sense of urgency after office delay. Was prescribed a prescription on 12/24/2025 that has been an ordeal w/ lack of communication from the doctor's office and wrong information being sent to the insurance company causing the prescription to be pending/delayed for a few days/week which I was trying to get it before the new year and ASAP because my eyes were hurting. After my appointment, found out that the prescription is not covered by my insurance plan. Called the doctor's office to ask if there is another prescription. Did not get a call back but saw they changed it. The new prescription was still not being filled. Called the pharmacy and was told that it requires prior authorization. Called my insurance plan to know if a prior authorization was received and they didn't have one. Called my doctor's office again to request a prior authorization and for it to be sent as urgent as instructed by the pharmacy and insurance company. Called my doctor's office again a couple of days later at least twice as well as calling the pharmacy and insurance company. My doctor's office did not return any phone calls after one voicemail to call them back which I did several times. In the morning on 12/31/2025, the insurance company has not received a prior authorization. The pharmacy is still waiting for approval from the insurance company. Finally on the last day of the year someone from my doctor's office calls me and says they sent a prior authorization as urgent and that they only received two voicemail messages. I said I called multiple times a day and left messages as well as left messages w/ the front desk. She kept saying I didn't. She said she would send the prior authorization as urgent. I called the insurance plan and they received it as standard and not urgent. The likelihood of it being filled today, the last day of the year is slim to none because it was marked at standard. The pharmacy is closed early today and is closed tomorrow. This is insane! A patient should not have to get this involved w/ prescriptions and not be blamed for not receiving all the voicemail that were left. If two were received, that should be enough. If a request for a phone call and status are requested, call back. I do not recommend this office bc of the faulty staff. I don't know about the doctor bc I only had one appointment. Was not able to get the prescription today bc the person at my doctor's office did not send it as urgent and marked it as standard even though she said it was sent as urgent. I was also informed that they have to request an exception. This could have all been started last week when I first called the office regarding this. For me to pay out of pocket, it will cost over $1000.00. This could have been avoided if someone called me back after all the messages I left and sent the prior authorization last week and/or as urgent today.
