We found 11 inch online when looking for quality home delivered pizza…read more For our very first order 11 inch has been a standout. Their pizza a much more of an Italian style with a thin base and light toppings. Although i haven't measured them, I also assume the standard pizza as the name suggest might be 11inches. Saying that the desert pizzas are a fraction smaller but pack so much deliciousness that they are a must with any order. The Nutella desert pizza should be the first item on anyones order ... with pistachios and melted white chocolate buttons it makes me drool just writing this review. I've road tested 11 inch a few times now and find the pizzas to be constantly good. I can't wait to visit in person for a pizza hot out of the oven.

Racial discrimination alert! Cancel this restaurant! I went with two friends, both women of color…read more At first we sat at the front windows with nobody else in the restaurant. Then we were moved to a broken table in a dark corner when the white customers arrived. The light bulbs were broken above us, the only spot of the sort, and when we tried to get more light we were scolded and forced to sit in shame. The waitress was disgusted by our presence. She said the boss didn't like us having light. Clearly I'm not alone on this. Refer to other comments on this matter. Other reviewers have reflected on the issue of overt racism and more than just micro aggressions. Food is mediocre and bland. You'll have better luck at Domino's. Less racist fascists. Better value, too. Again, cancel this pretentious restaurant. It only caters to affluent white people.

My partner and I met up with a fellow pizza and pasta lover for what looked like a good feed going by others reviews. Unfortunately we were sadly disappointed. Being part of the Chin Chin restaurant group we had high expectations as all of the other restaurants in the group we had been to were amazing food and experiences. We were seated by an under enthusiastic waitress and unlike other restaurants no explanation of the specials or menu favorites. We got a couple of drinks and ordered our pizza and pasta. I had been looking forward a good feed of pasta with some delicious pizza to boot. Not only was there confusion as to which pizza was who's. The pizza looked good but that's when it all went pear shape. When picking up a slice to devour the pizza it was soggy and basically couldn't even hold its shape and had to be folded over itself to be eaten. The pizza tasted ok but not anything exciting the flavor wasn't there, the outer crust was thin and quite nice and the best part Of it all. My friends pizza was the same and just a soggy mess when trying to eat it and the eggplant was string and undercooked and he was also similarly disappointed. The past dishes we got were also a disappointment as they were almost cold and the sauces were lacking flavor and richness that you would expect from the reviews. Anyway we ate left and went to Gradi 400 for a decent pizza. Do yourself a favor don't waste your time find another pizza place also they charge premium prices so that added insult to injury. Anyway they may have just been having a bad day but still won't be back.

Hearing good things about La Svolta, we decided to give it a go. To be honest, it wasn't as good…read moreas I thought it might be. It was nice - don't get me wrong - but nothing startling, and there are other Italian restaurants I like better (and are quieter). I started with a nice Caprese Salad, but for my main, it's entirely possible I just made a wrong choice. I ordered the Pizza Agliata which has Flor di latte mozzarella, garlic, oregano and extra virgin olive oil. If I'm being honest, it totally lacked taste. I really only finished it because I'd barely eaten all day. I think if I go again, I'll just stick to my usual choice of a Margherita pizza. For dessert I had a scoop of lemon and a scoop of chocolate gelato which was ok. The lemon was exceptionally tangy and the chocolate was half frozen (but tasted nice at least). Service was spotty (we were offered dessert between eating our entree and getting our main - and when we told the waitress we hadn't had mains yet, she walked off without clearing away the entree plates, lol). Overall, I MIGHT be tempted to try this one more time and choose differently, but I would only go if others insisted on eating here.

Really cute place on the main drag in Hampton. The pizza was better than most in Melbourne, and the…read moreservice was super-friendly. The pizza here has a very thin crust. As an American, I staunchly refuse to eat pizza with a fork and knife -- I always eat it with my hands -- and this is the type of pizza that you really need to fold because the crust is so thin. It's so thin that if you pick up a slice without folding it, all your ingredients will come sailing merrily off and will no doubt end up in your dining partner's lap. Which may get awkward. In spite of its uber-thinness (or perhaps because of it), I really loved the crust. Soft and delicious. We all know people who have an irrational hatred of pizza crusts, people who will ALWAYS hack their pizza crusts off with a knife, lip curled in disgust, no matter where you take them. Trust me, even these people will like the crust at La Svolta. My boyfriend and I both had vegetarian pizzas, mine without cheese to make it vegan. (His was the "Parmigiana" and mine was the "Ortolana.") Mine came with eggplant, mushrooms, olives, tomato, and capsicum. The pizza bases are all non-dairy/non-egg, so you can choose any of the vegetarian pizzas and ask for no cheese to make it vegan. Service was fantastic -- the servers all sounded like they were actually from Italy, which is nice. They were very friendly and helpful. Food was pricey but this is Hampton, after all. Luckily, the portion size was quite large by Australian standards, so it's worth it. We finished our pizzas but only because we hadn't eaten anything else all day. The place is a bit loud and crowded, but I didn't mind that at all. If you're on a first date and trying to have an actual polite conversation, La Svolta might not be the best pick, but otherwise it's fine.
