Looking at the menu/placemat the sandwich was 5€ and wine was .20 or 20 cents...their brand wine! If we were traveling on our own we may have never found this restaurant! I thought mine was delicious-others ordered prosuiccito ham/cheese, roasted veggies only, cheese alone...seemed to enjoy!

We've never had Romanian food before. We visited Tivoli as a day trip from Rome. We were debating…read moregoing back in to Rome to have dinner but decided to stay in Tivoli. We were so glad we did. We visited with our teenage kids from California. The restaurant is decorated tastefully with Romanian decor with a little Dracula kitsch thrown in. The cave was amazing. It felt like it would be the perfect place for a Haunted House. The owner speaks perfect English. He was friendly and did a great job explaining the menu to us. You can tell he is very proud of the restaurant and it shows both in his enthusiasm as well as all the awards he has won. He has a great outlook on life and really strives to give back to the community. The cabbage rolls were amazing. The shepherds appetizer with the polenta was incredible. The salads were very fresh with lots of veggies in addition to the greens. The donut dessert was also incredible. Even with all the restaurants in Tivoli, when we return to Tivoli we will eat here.

My wife had their version of Shepard pie which is parents and cheese topped with a sunny side up egg and cream. Very, very good! Michael, the owner, was amazing! He likes to get you drunk! LOL!
