We just walked in starving looking for a place for lunch when strolling around the city.
I don't think we would have gone there intentionally, but since we just happen to pass by and saw it - decided to try. And weren't disappointed for a second.
We took two empanadas to start -one with 5 cheeses stuffing and second with Roquefort and ham. Very delicious and super fresh.
I wanted to get pizza, but among out of a hundred they offer - I couldn't find the one I liked that would comprise everything. They all seemed some kind of incomplete and lack in one or another ingredients.
I wanted to get Canelones with meat and cheese, but I completely mixed the name with "Calzones" and we ordered a Calzone "Il Migliore" with provolone and mozzarella cheese and pancetta. I also asked to add there cut tomatoes and they willingly did. But instead of what I was thinking we were getting - we've got that huge Calzone and it was the most delicious calzone I've ever tried. Very juicy, pulpy, full of hot stuffing and tomatoes were blended really good in there, made it more refreshing in that hot summer day.
For dessert we've got a brownie with ice cream of Dulce de Leche, it was very nice too.
Service was fast and kind. There were only locals, no tourists - good sign.
So, if you're thinking to try it - you won't regret. But don't expect anything exquisite and refined - it's just a place offering good and simple Italian cuisine. read more
