There was a line but it moved quickly, I got one on my way to the train station. Employees were really sweet and informative. They explained to us everything with such good manners! And even told us to come back! Which we did. My affogato was lovely, with a French vanilla ice cream offsetting the delicious bitter espresso served with a distinctive shovel shaped spoon, it was so smooth and refreshing. My partner's lemon/mint gelato was small, but packed an explosive, tart amount of flavor in each small bite. We enjoyed our treat in patio seating outside the cafe. It was warm, but pleasant- shielded from the sun by umbrellas and from the street, screens by tall planters. We were greeted and served promptly by a team of two servers. On paying our bill we noticed the inside seating also looks lovely- in an air conditioned cafe. 4 stars rather than 5 simply because it was quite expensive- almost 18 euros for two small treats and two half liter bottles of water

Overall a beautiful environment with a nice view of the cobblestone street which makes for good people watching, great food and great service! Highly recommend!

Gelateria Patagonia is definitely doing something right! Skip the romanticism of Romeo & Juliet's grasp on the city of Verona and focus on the gelato here, first off it's located in a great shopping center and there's a line out the door. Great signs! After managing to find out where the line was after pushing through people, I got my hands on a cup of Amarena and Romeo Baccio. A little fruity gelato to go with something more rich and decadent ... you know, like Romeo ... BACK TO THE GELATO- focus. The gelato has a great thick texture, definitely creamy, not too sweet with great flavors. The Amarena was okay, but the Romeo Baccio was perfection! As I learned from my visits to gelaterias it's that you can't go wrong with the following flavors: pistachio, chocolate, cafe or nocciola (hazelnut) or some kind of variation. Price wise, average with a bigger portion! Dropping a star at the lack of apparent line, it's more like who's up next gets to place their order and that it gets way too crowded, especially being walking distance from the Arena and Juliet's balcony.

You can taste the alcohol and the cake pieces provide a layer of texture. Unfortunately, it was also icy and not smooth. The flavors are great overall but the texture of the gelato needed improvement.

The crepe was made-to-order, and it was delivered to me piping hot and bursting from the seams with nutella.
