When you walk in, it looks like a quaint little pizza place but they have a larger dining area around the corner of the entrance and a whole upstairs dining area. They are known for their Naples folded-style pizza. I ordered the margherita with bufala mozzarella. It was my favorite pizza I ate during my weeks in Italy. You could tell that this was a spot locals loved and we were so grateful to have been directed here.

We were here…read morearound the end of September when the temperature was starting to get very cold, so seating outside required a turtleneck or jacket. The vibe was really nice in the outdoor seating area-- there are lots of different groups of friends or couples dining and enjoying their pizza with wine. We ordered two different pizzas, and one of them was a wrong order, but I told them that it was fine. If you think that pizza in Italy is going to be mind-blowing, keep your hopes up, because you will not be disappointed. I was constantly blown away by the texture and flavor of the crust. How do they do this?!? It was my second favorite pizza that I had in Italy, but my husband said this was his #1. The food took quite long to arrive and after we were done we had to go inside of the restaurant to pay, which was across the street. The girl who was our server gave us our check and deliberately stated that tip was not included in the bill--this was the second restaurant in all of Italy where they asked for a tip, which is not customary amongst locals since they already charge a "service fee" for each guest, also labeled "copertino" and usually it's 2.00-2.50 euros. I'm assuming the locals only ask tourists for that extra tip, so tip at your discretion. Will I go back? I would, but I'd sit indoors, even if it's a bit packed, so that my pizza stays warm throughout the meal. If in Naples, this pizza spot is one of the top places to be.

The tables are nearly always full yet they're super welcoming and seat you quickly once the table has cleared. Great gluten free crust, (yet the non GF husband said his was also the best ever had), highly recommend.

A single margherita pizza is only 6 euros, which is about $7.20. A liter of wine here is also only 8 euro, which is about $9.60. I don't think you could find anywhere else in Naples with pizzas and wine as cheap as this place. The margherita pizza here is simple, as it should be. The crust is cooked to perfection. I personally like fluffy crust and this place delivered it well. The amount of tomato sauce versus the amount of cheese was also perfectly balanced. The fresh basil leaves also leave a slight kick in the aftertaste. I don't know how I can ever go back to eating Pizza Hut in the US. Be sure to finish off your meal with a tiramisù! You won't regret it :)

We decided to split the Diavolo pizza, which had spicy salami, mozzarella, tomato, and basil. The wait was short and it was served hot, right out of the oven. I think our expectations were high and we were both a little underwhelmed. I mean, the pizza was good but so was most of the pizza that we'd tried all over Italy. The one thing we both commented on was the crust. It was absolute perfection - soft, slightly chewy, and a little charred. Unfortunately, the middle of our pie was soggy, which is always an issue for me. On the bright side, this place was inexpensive, friendly, and they had a relatively clean bathroom. All use quality ingredients and are cooked perfectly. Other menu items such as steak and seafood are good value for the price. There's a small wine list, which isn't always in stock, but the waiter is happy to show what they do have, sometimes bottles not on the menu and will recommend something local if you aren't sure what to try. As is standard in almost every Italian restaurant, there is a nominal table charge per person, but that is clearly indicated on the menu, and added separately to your bill.
