Everyone was so sweet to us and the food was of excellent quality and taste. The presentation was also quite nice. We were surprised at how reasonable the prices were; but it is for locals and they support very well. We were glad the hotel made reservations for us. We asked the owner if we could come back the next night and he booked us. When we came back the next night and were seated, he proudly presented us with English menus. Their son had interpreted all the pages for us; and of course any future English speakers. That was so considerate and kind of the family to do that. We just loved the restaurant and wish we could go back again.

Chef Claudio Brugalossi and his staff were absolutely delightful--warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming. The chef personally offered thoughtful recommendations and even shared a bit about his life, which made the experience feel so personal. To top it all off, they surprised me with a delicious chocolate cake and sang happy birthday-such a memorable and heartfelt touch. They made my evening feel truly special. But as we headed back toward our area, I remembered seeing this place walking up the hill. The patio was full so we went inside and it was pretty much empty. The nice thing is that we didn't have to talk over the loud bass that filled the neighborhood. We ordered a great bottle of wine, and planned to share everything. So we started with the Penne all'Arrabbiata, which had a nice subtle spicy flavor and perfect pasta. We then had the Insalatona dI pollo: insalata mista, pollo grigliato, citronette, which sounds so much better than a salad with chicken. We ended with the spaghetti with cherry tomatoes and pesto. This was the best pesto we've had in a long time. We shared a tiramisu and I got a shot of limoncello. This was a really great meal. The service was friendly and my limited Italian worked. I would definitely come back if ever in the city of Perugia again!
