Because we are stereotypical tourists, we ordered the Inglese pizza on our first night. The pizza was phenomenal. It was one of the best pizzas I had in Italy. So okay - that's not what made the night great (great food is a great start). The capstone to a great experience is fantastic service. The staff was funny, friendly, and made sure we had a wonderful time. Naturally we made the death-defying trek back to the restaurant the next day and had an even better time. That night we had the Foie Gras, which tasted good (I can't benchmark it against other foie gras - it was the first I had). They paired it with a horseradish-pear chutney and bruschetta (I'm probably not doing it enough justice) and it had a nice subtle taste. We again had pizza because we're unoriginal - this time a Margherita and Salami pizza. These were great, but not as good as the Inglese. The staff remembered us and took care of us the entire night. It was one of the most memorable experiences we had in Italy - we had a wonderful time. If I get enough money to return to Lake Como we'll go back. Until then - I hope others see the 5 stars have just as great of an experience.

Sometimes Michelin rated means dropping a few hundred francs for a beautiful atmosphere while still feeling hungry... A group of us ordered various dishes and every single dish I have eaten/tried are simply very fresh, ingredients meticulously blended, and nicely decorated. They even proudly claim their local tomato served in their tomato/mozzarella dish is the best - and amazingly it really tasted as if it was freshly picked. The serving sizes are perfect and I'd recommend ordering from their menu of the day - you get a special pricing based on how many dishes from the selection you want to order, and this ensures you are eating the freshest dishes from the menu. With pasta cooked and seasoned to perfection, lamb that is perfectly cooked, fresh succulent tomatoes, perfectly cooked risotto served with local egli filet, one can't go wrong eating here. The service is very helpful and the chef comes out to meet everyone after the meal. Set your GPS and find this place. It's located on a small corner across from the Migros Garden and Coop - so not too hard to find. Reasonably priced meal for a Michelin listed restaurant.

The weather was lovely and views awesome. The food service was quick. Two entree's bottle of local wine, and dessert for less than 50 euros. This was frankly one of the better meals (among many excellent ones) we had in the Milan area, and one of the least expensive. This is a must stop if you are exploring the upper city!

We came here around siesta time, so when we finished eating, we've realised that no one else is here, not counting us, an owner lady and some really old people reading newspapers. And we still felt welcomed! Interior is really comfy - dark wooden tables and chairs, big bar, where you can drink your espresso and leave, newspapers, old wine bottles, some photos on the walls and a lot of people. True Italian vibes. Menu is in Italian or English. They have variety of Italian goods here - pasta, pizza, main dishes, everything is really tasty and in good prices! We've decided to take a fixed menu for, as I recall, 14 euros, with pasta, main dish and a wine/coffee and water. I don't remember what we ordered exactly but I think I've had something similar to ravioli with ragu and bacon, ahhhhhhh, amazing!!! Main dish was simply big amount of meat with fries or mashed potatoes, nothing too crazy, but tasty as well. Wine - omnomnom. Food is damn good and the whole place is so cute. One of the old guys smiled at me and said "cin cin" when I was drinking my wine. The owner of this place, nice lady, was speaking only Italian, but we somehow managed to talk with her - Italian gestures, "molto bene" and "perfetto" were enough to communicate and leave big smiles on our faces. Grazie mille!
