IKEA is where I get my weekly Swedish food, as a Swede myself I love buying the meatballs and mashed potatoes for my family. Along with having a cinnamon roll for fika! I highly recommend for anyone coming in to buy furniture to stop buy the cafeteria. read more

Swedish meatballs... the real reason people come to IKEA. Seriously, IKEA's world famous meatballs & mash dish is the best Swedish food in town. I think like 80% of the people in the IKEA foodcourt were having meatballs when I was there. In fact, from the moment I grab a tray and start queuing, to finally putting the dirty dishes on the conveyor belt, is an experience in itself. The whole place reeks of ingenuity and practicality, and caters very well to young families. People with small kids can just grab a baby seat from the middle of the court, those with bigger kids can sit around a kids play-booth next to it. There is even a free and much bigger kid-play-area downstairs. In the past, I had to travel to Richmond for the IKEA experience, but now I'm so happy to have IKEA come to the south-eastern suburbs (where I live). This new store is in a great location for those of us that live south east ... so we don't have to make the hike to Richmond anymore. This store is much larger than Richmond and therefore more items on display and more stock in the warehouse. Can recommend the restaurant - but get there early in the weekends because they always seem to be ultra busy esp. with the cheap meal deals. Best thing is that you can do a stock check on the IKEA website before you go to make sure that what you want to buy is actually there. A great place to score a cheap bargain :) read more

I like Ikea. Okay, no... I love Ikea. Ikea Springvale isn't an exception, but I wish their staff were easier to find when you need help! Their stock and range is much better than at Richmond; however what says 'available' online is not always fully correct. I experienced this the other weekend, where my online - and phone-call - pre-check of stock levels was not without a 'miss'. Nonetheless, the staff were accommodating and tracked down the stuff I needed... once I got a hold of them! read more

IKEA Springvale - what a place. Immaculately presented - always a true joy to walk around this place and check out all the things that are available for my house-to-be. As everyone mentions - the Swedish Meatballs - pretty damn amazing for the price! Such a fun place, just wish there was one closer to the North/North East suburbs! read more

Love the product but what is it about no customer service it makes the journey exceptionally unpleasant notwithstanding they design all their stores to ensure you simply can't get out without going through it all which drives me insane! read more

Great location for an Ikea as there are plenty of parking spots and lots of room to move about. Swedish Meatballs are by far the best dish at the restaurant. read more

Great store layout. The room displays are intriguing and show off what some of the furniture looks like in a room. Some of the staff are very friendly and helpful but lines can be long for registers and delivery. read more
