An excellent day outing, especially if you have a small apartment, small children, or both.
At this point, IKEA is more entertainment than home furnishings for me --- sure, we needed some new pillows and some kitchen organizers, but it was also a rest stop on our Saturday bicycle tour, and a good (and cheap!) lunch.
The food here is actually delightful. Yes, it's a cafeteria --- but the smoked salmon (Rauschlachs) plate is tender and very fresh, and the meatballs hit "savory" without crossing into "salty." I'm not a fan of the sweet berry sodas, so I ended up with a reasonable glass of red wine.
Expect to have your knees hugged by a confused toddler. Apparently all adult knees look the same. If you're lucky, they'll go with it instead of freaking out when you're not their parent.
