It is hard to to come here and not buy anything. If you look for something for your kitchen, for your bath or your children or the rest of your home then there are tiny things that can add some sparkle to your daily life. If you need a lot of sparkle meaning you need lamps you would even find that her. The biggest things are maybe tables, small coffee tables or maybe a chair. This is a smaller shop there is a big one on Josefstrasse. But still despite its size it has an amazing selection of things to decorate your home with useful but also beautiful things.

My favorite second hand store in Zurich !…read more This place is really amazing. They sell primarily second vintage furniture. And they have really everything what you would need to restyle your appartment in a '70 style. The staff is really nice and even offer coffee. I especially like their range of eames chairs. Don't forget to go to their store at viadukt.

Can't find an appropriate airmail envelope at the post office? That was my experience this morning…read moreat both my local post and the main post office around the corner from the Stadthaus. Fortunately, I remembered this fab, four-story, paper goods-and-more-store was just a few blocks away from where I was and went straight there. As usual, I was greeted immediately upon entering the shop and took notice of how the employees seemed ready to jump in and help could I not manage to find my way to the parcels and packaging area. Zumstein is very well 'signed', so one needn't wander aimlessly from floor to floor looking for that one special item unless one really wants to do so. I've done that, too, and it's sort of a magically journey through office supplies, art supplies, and mailing supplies (they also have a parcel service, but I didn't get the specifics on it). As has already been mentioned in other posts, the employees are professional and helpful. I usually feel very well taken care of when I'm in Zumstein. This place is a must-visit for anyone who needs to post an item, write a letter, make a bit of art and then some.

We needed a less-bedraggled courier bag for carrying a laptop around in a business setting --- found a nice simple Crumpler up on the first floor. The staff was helpful, and knew which bags would fit which size laptops off the top of their head --- saved us a step.
