1. IKEA (Great) 2. Kings Transport (Appalling!!)!
We purchased a kitchen and cannot speak highly enough of the kitchen staff who were always patient and offered great options. Very impressed with their customer service and highly recommend anyone to deal with IKEA Richmond, Vic.
BUT, the great experience has been tainted by the complete lack of customer service by their transport company, Kings Transport. While the delivery almost made the 6 hour time frame they gave, and the two delivery men were pleasant, after checking over 100 items we were missing 1 item from the kitchen. I rang IKEA who said "in the first instance" I had to call Kings, which was fine. Unfortunately I left 4 messages on the Kings Transport mobile number on the website, being promised someone would call back as soon as possible, but not once did I receive a call. I rang IKEA Richmond who gave me the Kings Transport Richmond counter number. I rang that twice, and after 2 or 3 rings the call was cut off on each occasion, not even given a chance to ring out! I then called IKEA again and their Customer Support area were more than helpful in sorting out the missing item.
In short, great service from IKEA, but suggest you organise your own transport as Kings obviously have a policy of "once delivered, not our problem"! read more
