rarely write reviews, but my recent experience with IKEA Switzerland was so appalling that I feel compelled to warn others -- especially those paying for delivery and assembly.
I placed an order worth almost CHF 2,000, including CHF 544 for professional delivery and assembly. What followed was a week-long chain of miscommunication, unfulfilled promises, and total disregard for the customer:
* I was assured multiple times by IKEA staff that my delivery would happen in the afternoon -- a request they confirmed repeatedly.
* Instead, the delivery team suddenly scheduled it for the morning without notice.
* Then, on the rescheduled date, no one showed up at all -- no call, no cancellation, no explanation.
* I had to sleep on the floor for several nights. Yes -- on the floor.
* I rescheduled professional meetings, suffered physical back pain, and experienced immense stress -- all because of IKEA's failure to deliver a service I paid for.
What makes it worse is the attitude: not read more
