Shopping with this store has been the worst experience. Please DO NOT plan on buying an item at this store and having them deliver/install. Their relationship with the private installer is horriable.. I purchased a bathroom sink for my new home in the city of Rincon (August 2). I spent COUNTLESS hours in phone calls between IKEA and the installer. After numerous excuses they delivered the product on (September 11). To my surprise there was a screw missing from the package which makes the sink inoperable. I spent more COUNTLESS hours in phone calls from (September 11) till now (October 20) trying to get that screwed delivered or even mailed to me so I can have a working bathroom sink which is crucial. Till now I haven't received a clear respond. Ask your self what would you do in a situation like this. Keep in mind when you call customer service they are located in the Dominican Republic and have very little access to anything. When asked for a number to the store or corporate they reply "Were just an answering service" trust, im not one to complain and try to bash businesses but 3 months now and no one has answer is ridiculous. My wife had never been in an Ikea and asked if we could stop and look through. From the outside they looked way larger than what they actually area. Really limited on what they had available (see pics) at the PR location. Historically, I've been in Ikea stores that are multiple stories and have probably anywhere from 6 - 10x the space and offerings that this location had. That being said, the store itself was nicely laid out. The merchandise was easy to look at and find out pricing. The store was extremely clean. But, all of that being said, this just didn't carry the pop of a full size Ikea. Not really sure if it was planned this way or the space they had restricted them from putting in a full size location. If you're in the area and have specific home décor needs, they would be worth checking out, especially at the prices they offer. But, there is a good chance they won't have what you're looking for. read more

Bayamon, Santa Rosa Ikea. My husband and I were badly treated on the entrance by security guard on 04/06/24- 1:50pm, because we were heading exit door instead entrance door. Please contract or train security guards to be more respectful with clients, my experience were so bad that I turned around and get out as soon as I can. Didnt give me the right size bed why would I order a kind mattress and Queen frame.! now dealing with them to come pick the bed up is even worst. they are sending people out of order of the task with no real time of when stuff will be done. as well as not sending all the pieces at once. The carolina PR store is horrible.the manager Michael kept me there 45 minutes arguing when I had the receipt.He refused to change some items because there were not packed,but that was the way I bought them.Horrible service.I will never go back to buy in any IKEA in Puerto rico. read more

No Stars This has been a nightmare! It has been going on since April. I ordered over $2,000.00 of furniture to be sent to the USVI. First I was told they would ship to St. John. Then I ordered all the furniture and was told "no! Only St Croix or St Thomas". So I had it shipped to St Thomas, even if this did mean hiring someone to transport it to St John. No one warned me that I would need a customs broker to process picking it up in the USVI. I never received an invoice from IKEA. I called repeatedly and was assured it had been sent. After two weeks of back and forth I was told it had already been shipped. When I called Tropical Shipping in St Thomas (these people were the high point of a HORRIBLE experience), I was assured yes my package had arrived a week earlier (PS - you only get one week sitting at the shipping company before they start charging storage). The lovely woman at Tropical inquired hadn't I received an email from her. I replied "no". When I recited my email to her she laughed out loud. She then immediately sent me all the info she had. This was the first and only invoice of IKEA that I ever received!!! Many steps and aggravations later (USVI taxes and customs and getting transport from St T to St J) Imy package was delivered. We were missing a $450.00 chair. I called immediately and was told someone would return my call in 1-5days. A week later after no word I called again (many phone calls, left on hold 20-30min then calls dropped) I got someone to at least give me a service claim number. I was told to take pictures of what I had received and submit this claim via email. I did this, but my emails kept bouncing back. Many calls later with both IKEA PR and IKEA US my husband and I spent most of a day searching the internet we discovered each person we spoke with gave us the same email ( www.cssc.pr@ikea.pr). Well all those hours paid off...the email is actually "csc.pr@ikea.pr".... I then submitted my claim. A couple of days later I got a response the my claim was being expedited. Then two day later I received a short email (no salutations or signature) in Spanish (I am not a Spanish speaker and my emails had all been in English) stating in short that I accepted the package and I was out of luck. Doing a little more research I figured out from the bill of lading for the shipping of my items that the chair could not possibly have been in the shipment. The only response to this was that my only recourse was to fly to PR and complain in the store and "maybe" they can do something......... So buyer beware!!!! This will NOT be the IKEA experience you expect!!! Here is the "tip off" - the salutation at the bottom of the Ikea invoice, they give you a "client information" number to call......it is an invalid number.........need I say more! read more

Customer Service in Iowa is the worst . They can care less about the customer . I have an Airbnb that I blocked the day for the installer to come . They called me the day before to tell me to wait from 8 am to 5pm . I did and after 5pm when nobody arrived I called customer service and the where asking all to the coordinator and she never talked to us . And never fix the problem . Now they want to charge me for them to come again ! Can you believe this ? The Coordination and the installers are HORRIBLE. They said they would come if I pay AGAIN !!! I waited 2 months for a kitchen because the salesperson that I was assigned wasn't available. When I finally had a designed and measured kitchen, I was told to remove my old kitchen in order to place the new one. To my surprise, more than half of the pieces were not available. Now I don't have any kitchen and IKEA doesn't give any options. The salespeople won't even say hello when you enter. They are quite harsh. read more

You make an online order it takes about a month to get here and when you come to pick up instead of dispatching thru warehouse they make you wait for hours. Don't even think about ordering a kitchen here. We have been waiting 1 month for them to finish the installation of our kitchen. And to make it worse the delivery crew damage the countertop. The installation crew did not took out the boxes, (or even their own food)! Insanely bad customer service, bad installation, nobody solve anything. I am stunned at the horrible service at this store. If IKEA was like this in the states they would be out of business. Took 3 trips 1hour each way to get in front of a kitchen specialist to plan my kitchen. Then they have to come check measurements (another week), then you have to wait for a call from your kitchen sales person to call and reschedule for you to come in and finalize the contract (another week). After you wait an hour in a line to prepay for your new kitchen, they give you a delivery date. But they are supposed to call and give you information on the progress. Crickets. I emailed my sales person, Odalis Lopez. After 3 days I get a message back that she will have to check on it. Another week. I emailed again. Now I get a response that appears to be from a translation app because it doesn't make any sense. I email again. I get an even more convoluted translation. I call several times. On Hold until they finally tell you in Spanish to call back later they are too busy. 5 days after delivery date has passed I get a text in Spanish that apparently says they will be delivering in 3 days. No show. Call IKEA customer service again. Finally get a human and of course she has to transfer me to someone else. More hold. The someone else has to check and puts me back in hold. She hangs up. This repeats 3 times. On the third time I ask for the girls name and a direct number in case we get disconnected, she tells me she will call me back. Now it's 5:00pm on Friday. I call back, get the recording... no answers. No accountability. Terrible company. read more

Punta Ikea Escorial is the about as bad as it gets. I can say so much but prefer not to use this forum just to rant. Just don't shop there for kitchen cabinets. They will work harder to not help you. Purchased tons of items from Ikea in California with an A rating on customer service. This store is far from that experience. read more

The IKEA PR website does not allow you to enter a phone number with an out-of-state area code when creating your profile before making a purchase. This is problematic because they use text messaging to send updates about your order. I had to enter a local land line number, not having other options at the time. I called their customer service number and was told that, in order to edit my profile to add my cell phone number, I would have to make another purchase, and it would have to be by phone or at the store, not online. It doesn't make much sense, in my view, and adds another layer of inconvenience to the customer, who would not have the advantage of ordering online, just to correct an issue created by the company itself. Not to mention that it forces one to make another purchase just to add one's correct contact information to the online profile. After many years of number portability in the U.S., I imagine that this must be an inconvenience to a good number of people. read more

I give them a star because you have to choose something. This is the worst store in PR. Don't waste your time. To make matters worst the customer service is from Dominican Republic. I won't even describe how bad it is because when it comes to consumers rights and laws they have no idea that such vocabulary is in existence. I moved to Puerto Rico from California 3 years ago. As much as I love many things about this island and the culture, I have learned to expect a much lower level of customer service than in the US. However, Ikea in PR has taken poor customer service too new lows. I had a pleasant experience at the Ikea showroom in Carolina, however I've had absolutely horrible experiences with delivery and installation. Don't expect your items to be delivered on the day or time you schedule and don't expect a call from their transportation department. So don't take a day off from work to wait for delivery of your Ikea order. It won't happen...guaranteed. When you call Ikea to try and find out why your items were not delivered and why you never received a phone call, be prepared to get transferred multiple times, be on hold forever, get disconnected and have to call back several times. When you finally speak to someone in customer service that can actually find your order, don't expect them to find any record of your scheduled delivery and certainly no explanation why the delivery wasn't completed or why no one called you. Reschedule the delivery? Okay...but, don't expect your delivery to happen the 2nd time, 3rd or probably the 4th time either. They won't show up and they won't call at the schedule time. At this point you will want to pull what little hair you have left out and have probably lost your temper with an Ikea representative more than once. After 4 scheduled deliveries my items were finally delivered. Unbelievable. I've had great experiences with Ikea in Arizona and California. Why has the experience been so horrible in PR? I've done some research and learned Ikea is a franchise just like McDonald's or Subway. I surmise the reason the customer service is so horrible is the same reason many companies provide poor customer service. In one word; Management. Excellent customer service starts from the top down. If Management is bad then customer service is bad too. This is a message to both the Owner and Management of Ikea PR. 1) Review your management team and determine who isn't doing their job then fire and hire A-players that can overhaul your customer service team and create systems and scripts for employees so they can provide world class customer service. 2) Move your customer service call center from Dominican Republic to a local call center in PR so you can have better control. There is an obvious major disconnect between your Dominican call center, warehouse and transportation department located in PR. 3) Hire fluent English speaking customer service staff 4) Overhaul your transportation department and correct the scheduling problems and the lack of communication with customers related to scheduled deliveries. There's a lot more that needs to be addressed with Ikea PR, but the above items are a start. Do the above and your sales and profits will increase by 50%+ Until then Ikea shoppers...buyer beware read more

Quick to take your order, takes forever to get it! At this store, you have to order your stuff and come and get it when it gets delivered to them. When you come to pickup your order, be prepared to wait about an hour and to get lots of attitude. Doesn't matter that you are a paying customer. read more

No stars at all! These hasn't changed at all since the pandemic started. They leave you under the sun for hours to pick up your merchandise. I have tried to go in the week and it's the same long lines. This is the third time I try to buy something and do long lines. Everything I've read is correct. Not only is there a wait, but the order is not properly delivered. We ordered multiple wine glasses and water glasses. They both come prepackaged. However, our order was delivered to us as unprotected glassware in boxes, bags and simply placed on top of other items in our order. Some ended up broken. read more

I BOUGHT A TV STAND FROM IKEA PR, I installed it my self following you tube instructions because the ones in the box are not big help. When I finished it it was uneven and one side was different from the other. I tried to dismantle it back to return it back to the store but in the process it was breaking in places and the hard ware was as if was made from aluminum foil I couldn't disassemble it. So I took it back as it was. Once in the store they refused refund or exchange because the only refund unopened boxes, I was told at the store that I was suppose to call the store And pay an employee to come to my house to check if I made a mistake and if I didnt they reimburse the money. I told them that I read the policy on returned merchandise and it said that they will give you a full refund even after 365 days and you could take the merchandise to the store as it is open or assembled. Well PR store will not even accept it I couldn't take it back home because it was too heavy I am a senior citizen and had no help to take it back. Well to make the story short I end up leaving the merchandise and unable to get my refund.I am asking myself why Ikea PR its different from other stores.their refund policy its set so no matter what you will be unable to get your money back I will not buy anything from them ever again.probably now my tv stand it's in one of their employees home. read more

Ikea in Puerto is Rico absolutely nothing like the US.  The whole experience, from start to finish, is worse than a 3rd world country.  Horrendous customer service.  I ordered thousands of dollars of products online.  They finally arrived and I received notification.  Once I got there, they loaded up my cart, but failed to tell me that some of my items were not available.  While unboxing, I found a very small part to one item to be damaged.  It took this 3rd world operation literally 3 months to agree to pick up the damaged item.  That would NEVER happen in the states.  And don't get me started on the retards that handle the call for IKEA Family.  I received a voucher for the points that you get when you spend money.  When I used it to make a purchase, during check out, it very clearly states that if the voucher is more than the purchase, that the remaining amount will be issued in the form of another voucher.  I never received it, so I called to inquire.  The savages I spoke with told me that I needed to use the voucher all at once, even though the website absolutely states the opposite.  If you're American, save yourself the aggravation and avoid this shoddy and shady enterprise. read more

If only I could leave zero stars. First off you can not actually shop here. It's a pathetic staging area. Only one side of the store was open. There was nothing for bedroom furniture or textiles on display. The same is true for the bathroom department. While I was there I attempted to place an order but my new family card number wasn't working when I asked the girl in Spanish to check it she got an attitude and called for a manager. The manager was very helpful and took her lunch break to type in the order and over ride the fault. While doing this the young girl had a loud conversation with another customer about myself and the fact that it's ok to not help people that you don't want to. Even after placing the order I still have to wait 48hrs for my items since nothing is held on location. I advise all to shop elsewhere. I bought kitchen cabinets in Ikea of Carolina, PR. By then I didn't know the ordeal that I was getting into. After a whole month of appointments to measure and remeasure the area for kitchen cabinets, I've paid in full for them in June 29, 2018. Now 3 months after purchasing the cabinets I received them but "without installation appointment". For that I had to go to the store where the lady in the cabinet section call by phone the person in charge of giving the appointments, who that day couldn't answered the phone because she had a throat problem. The lady in the store (Viviana) trying to help me wrote an e-mail asking for the installation appointment and after 30 minutes waiting, finally I got my appointment date. Now 3 months and 10 days later, I'm still not able to use my kitchen in spite of receiving the cabinets because there were some of them that were missing like one "encimera" (counter top) and sink cabinet. Also some other items came damage like a 24 inch floor cabinet and the fridge side panel. Frustrated with my previous experiences with the "appointments assignment" which took so long, I tried to communicate with the person in charge of the logistics which was on (787) 214-8923 to make arrangements for them to pickup the damage merchandize and delivered the missing items. No body answered the phone in spite of calling on working hours. And the messages left were not answered. These employees are not responding as one expect from a company with the renown that Ikea has. For example the installers who discovered the items missing and damage called the company immediately, but as of today, 2 days later I haven't heard from them. I'm sorry but the person in charge of the logistics of the appointments and deliveries should call costumers soon enough after situations develop. I want to mention that the installers were very professional, fast and efficient and on time for the appointments. read more

First I parchased products over internet and picked up merchandise at store two days later with no problem. After that got promotions of $10.00 discounted checks to buy again. Decided to take my uncle (Age 92) to store after lunch on April 16, 2016, around 1:20 p.m. After my uncle paid cash for a product he ordered, they left him waiting 20 minutes while the processed his order. I decided to look around an make use of my email "check"(discount) and decided to purchase a 120 dollar kitchen cart. They had me like 15 minutes looking up my account, which I could log over my iPhone. Then they began giving excuses as to why they couldn't honor my "check". The supervisor, about 20 minutes I began placing my order, then said that they could not honor my discount because it had "expired" a day before. I said no problem and left. I decided never again to purchase anything at IKEA. In the store they treat customers like trash and lure the to visit with email promotions the don't honor. read more
