I first went to the ER and was given pain meds, steroids and muscle relaxers. Not being one who likes to take any meds, I found improvement within two weeks of far-beyond-excellent care with Dr. Chris and no meds. This was a new situation for me, and it's going on nearly three months of recovery time. I'm still seeing Dr. Chris' and following his directives to "take it slow, keep doing those stretches, and come back in if you see any reversal in our progress," but I'm walking and even working out a bit. Pretty amazing when one considers my pain was a 10 and I could not walk further than a few steps at a time. Now, I have no pain.
