The food was good, and right now they have great $7 deals. The parking is abundant and we didn't have a wait Friday at 1030am. We were seated quickly and we got our food 15 minutes after ordering. Upon leaving, staff asked us about our meal and made sure we had a great experience. I have to give a compliment to Mirca, she's such a helpful waitress. I do direct support with special needs adults and my client had some dietary needs. Mirca knew what I needed before I asked, and was quick to fulfill my extra requests. Great employee! I visited here on 2-15-25 with fairly low expectations just because I had a craving for pancakes for dinner. I was very pleasantly surprised with my meal. I had a spinach and mushroom omelette with hollandaise sauce and a side of 2 of their original pancakes. Both the omelette and pancakes were fantastic. A good sized portion with even a little left to take home. Another person who I dined with had a combination platter which included 2 eggs, ham, bacon, sausage, hash browns and 2 pancakes. And another had chicken strips and pancakes (she wasn't in the mood for the traditional waffle and chicken). I tried all the dishes and was not disappointed one bit. The restaurant was spotless and the service was very friendly. I haven't been to an IHOP in years, mainly due to what I thought was a big decline in quality and service. Went because I wanted to try the cookie butter pancakes. They were very good. Wife got a burger, which was decent too. My annoyance with this meal... is all principle. With my wife's burger... she asked for extra pickles. Something she has done at many restaurants when ordering a burger. When her order came, there was an additional small (condiment) cup with 5-6 pickle chips... kind of like the ones you would get on a McD burger. Well when we get the bill, there's "Poblano Peppers $1.99" listed?!? I track down the server and ask her what that is, thinking it's a mistake. She said that was the charge for the pickles. Wait, what? WOW. We just wanted to get out of there; instead of disputing it, we just left $2 less tip than we would have. Considering the the upcharge wasn't even mentioned at all when ordering. Unprofessional when servers do that, my opinion. So besides the pickles thing and the (literally) 10 minute wait to find our server to get a refill.. turns out she was hanging with other employees in the front by the podium... the food was good. I haven't been to IHOP since pre Covid. Today, we got there just before the afternoon rush. The ambiance was quiet even though there were children at tables. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. We were seated rather quickly. My omelette was delicious. Fluffy and just enough seasonings. The avocado was fresh and ripe. One of my friend girls said she missed the holiday pancakes she's accustomed to IHOP having around this time. Our waitress who was efficient and patient said those weren't on the menu. This is my regular IHOP whenever I am in the Farmingdale area for business. I look forward to dining here. Always excellent fast service, clean tables, free easy parking, safe area, relaxing environment, --but most important they make the best egg white veggie omelet with a side of pancakes. It's not cheap dining here--Egg White Omelets with tax and tip will set you back $20.00 But it's worth it for an excellent experience every time. This IHOP is pretty new in Farmingdale and I remember this corner space of the Airport Plaza shopping mall used to be occupied by a Chinese buffet, so it has a lot of square footage. On a Sunday, it can get pretty busy here, but we were seated rather quickly and set up with menus and coffee almost before our bottoms touched the chairs. Service here is SNAP-CRACKLE-POP! Normally, chain restaurants are tired and lackluster, but that is not the case here. Great service and freshly-cooked food served up hot are the norm at this IHOP. It's conveniently located and clean with plenty of parking, so it's all we want out of a diner. We've been here twice already and had very satisfying experiences both times, so I know we'll be back. I love a heavy duty, full breakfast on the weekends. All the breakfast combos are permutations of eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, hash browns, pancakes, french toast & regular toast, depending on your preference. Go for an omelet or splurge on the steak and eggs or the chicken fried steak. Or go with a lunch entree, if that's what you're hankering. My only beef is that the pancakes have gotten pretty small (~6") from what I remember in the past, which is unusual for a place called the International House of Pancakes. Went this morning with a group of six adults and two kids. The wait was about 25 minutes; completely understandable on a holiday. We finally were seated. Maybe 30 minutes pass by and our drink order/ food order was taken. Oh, this was after three separate times we had to get a staff member's attention to have our server come to our table. Another 30 minutes pass by and our drinks and food came together. My daughter's food was missing and so were other non coffee beverages. It took another 25 minutes (asking three staff members) for the rest of the order to come. I should also mention there was a party of seven across from us (two adults, five kids) who were there before us and our party got our order before them. They left without eating in order to see their movie. This was experience was unacceptable and that was why the manager took off our daughter's meal and the beverages off the bill. read more

Came here with some people I work with after we worked out. I tried to order a green tea but was told they only had black tea. Our waitress didn't seem to pay too much attention when we were ordering cause she had to ask multiple questions when we ordered but overall everything came out as ordered. Everyone at the table got flavored pancakes and I tried the tres leches pancakes. They were really really good!!! I was shocked ihop could make my favorite dessert into a pancake sooo sweet. Then I got scrambled eggs with pepper jack which were perfect, some bacon and the hash browns were definitely my favorite part of the meal. It was empty here around 1 but the service was pretty mediocre as it took us a long time to get the check. That's where I docked the star. I suppose one should not expect that much when you're going to an IHOP, a chain that I wouldn't normally choose to dine in. The last time I was in one prior to this was 11 years ago. The only reason we ended up here is because my volunteer team with me thought it would be fun to go because "how bad could it be?" Well, pretty bad. Service was awesome. But the restaurant itself was really gross, much like the food that we got served from my turkey club to my husband's waffle and eggs to the burger one of my team members ordered. This location seated us on a Sunday morning within 5 minutes, service was super fast, and our waiter was very friendly. The mushroom and spinach omelette was delicious! Living in Nassau county we have tried all the local IHOP Restaurants and we generally like them all, but this one takes the cake (pancake that is). The Manager Lopez is second to none. He is the best example of what a dining establishment manager should be-friendly, satisfaction oriented and efficient and treats every guest like royalty. Our server Junior takes the serving seriously also with a friendly smile. Efficient and perfect. Food is top notch, served as you like, hot, cooked right and done to turn. I'm a real breakfast lover, so you know Big Jim's on the way. Arriving in their huge free parking lot, I could see already that the place was busy. I loved the clean open friendly vibes here. The seating was arranged with plenty of room to move around creating a inviting and relaxing feel. I was thinking that this place would be perfect for families with kids. Looking at Yelp I could see that there were no reviews or pictures yet for this IHOP. We'll It's time to do my yelpers duty. Heck yeah.. let's do a 1st to review! Sitting at my table by the window, my server Sharon was just so friendly and welcoming, telling me the story of this new IHOP. I have to admit I'm really spoiled in expecting good service and IHOP did not disappoint me at all. The staff was sharply attentive and about as good as I've seen in a franchised eatery. I really appreciated being welcomed into their family with my first visit today. I like patronizing localities that appreciate my business and go that extra mile. The menu contained so many new, exciting and different offerings for a pancake house. I'm really happy that IHOP is all set to have a wonderful presence here. Can't wait to bring all my friends & associates to enjoy their off-the-chart pancakes. I also have always liked the variety of syrups available at the table (try butter pecan). One of my favorite amenities of IHOP restaurants is their bottomless coffee pot. I've made no hiding of the fact that I love good coffee. IHOP's insulated thermal coffee pots always keep your favorite Brew piping hot. I got the 222 breakfast today 2 pancakes, 2 eggs & 2 sausages. Also I'm ecstatically happy to see that "Real" natural link sausages are served here. You can also get the sausage patties if you like. First visit 5-stars, everything was perfect! The staff was so very welcoming & professional. I couldn't help but share in their excitement about their newly opened pancake place. Very mixed feelings . Firstly , this is one of the biggest and most attractive ihops around . Very pleasant atmosphere. I've been here twice , many of the staff dont seem to care much . Had to wait quite a while to get menu's and then order. That's fine. Regarding the menu- ihop is clearly NOT for a vegetarian. I mean in a diner there is plenty to eat without meat. At ihop you cannot order any eggs without bacon or ham coming with it. We asked if they could substitute something for the bacon, since we dont eat meat, and they said the meat is the least expensive part of the meal so NO they can't substitute anything for it or deduct anything to not have it. They just said I could add an egg for a$1.00 up charge ! Anyway, they brought the pancakes , and then I had to wait 10 minutes for the eggs to come out for some reason. There is a section on the menu that is for " sandwich melts". I have never seen a section like that , that didn't include a tuna melt! They had every meat melt you could think of and some you might not have known about. Check never came , so we just went to the front cashier. They have a separate room, which would be very nice for a party or gathering . In summary, restaurant is nice, food decent, service could be a little better, not vegetarian friendly !!! read more

Food was cold and after I complained the waitress Marcella said I spoke to my manager Christina and she said she won't charge you for the lobster. I NEVER GOT IT! How are you gonna charge me for something I NEVER RECEIVED! I've been here a few times this year and this was by far the WORST experience! My son ordered loaded fries and never got them! Oh hey IHOP right in my own backyard. The Airport Plaza shopping area really stepped up their game. I've been patiently waiting the opening of this IHOP and when I finally saw that sign I jumped at the chance to try it out. First, the place is HUGE. Upon being seated, we were taken through the restaurant and there is so much seating. All the tables are pretty spaced out as opposed to other IHOPs where I feel like I'm always sitting on top of other diners. The staff is extremely friendly and polite. I noticed that each staff member worked diligently and worked with each other to ensure that things we're running smoothly. Usually upon the opening of a new place, it seems like most of the staff is running around like chickens without heads. This was not the case. The reason why this rating gets 4 out of 5 stars is because my original server forgot to put in a whole order. I should mention that mid-dining there was a change in shift. My original server introduced our new server. Again, both servers extremely friendly and I very much appreciated the introduction and how we were notified of the shift change. Now back to our dining experience - So when my meal came, my niece's meal did not accompany it. Immediately both my new server and a manager made sure this was rectified immediately. The new server profusely apologized and also expressed his appreciation of how understanding I was. If this was the worst thing to happen during the initial opening of this restaurant, I'm ok with it. Especially because of their response to the problem. What a way to start a morning. First and foremost I must acknowledge the excellent service that is offered here. Even with Covid-19 these servers are wonderfully attentive and I appreciated that. My breakfast, the biscuts and gravy was well prepared. The sausage was on top as opposed to mixed into the gravy as is typical for the dish however it was still good and it worked of course. My eggs were cooked properly on the side. My one major gripe, my hashbrown was a touch undercooked, but it was still good, buttery, could have used a little more seasoning though. The omelet was excellent as well, prepared to specifications and cost very little on WW!! Turns out you can make a 0 point omelet here. All in all I was quite satisfied, its a good start to a day. Went to check out the new IHOP in Farmingdale on National Pancake day. My server was very nice. In fact everybody there were quite pleasant. It was clean which is important. Good ol IHOP. Glad that this has sprung up after the closure of the Massapequa location in which this is a huge improvement. Lots of parking, plenty of seats and tables, not to mention space between them... The most pleasant of suprises was Karen and Frankie (the one with the long hair) two of the old crew from Massapequa. Immediately brightened our day. As far as the food I should say I am a big fan of IHOP pancakes and ales and get the exact same order every time I go there. My pigs in a blanket were perfect.
