He…read moreis a nice guy but knows nothing about what he is talking about when it comes to dishwashers. He works for Samsung as well as Red River Appliance and that is what we saw him for, our brand new Samsung dishwasher. Our issue we had was when we would run a cycle, we would open the machine a few hours after starting it and there would be inches of water sitting in the bottom. The first time Garrett came out he told us there was "too much soap" in our dishwasher so he "flushed it out". Fast forward, he leaves and we run another load of dishes (way less soap now) and then the dishwasher does the exact same thing. We call him out again, this time he says "maybe you need to cut a hole through your countertop and run the drain hose higher up (it was already at the recommended height and we also had this checked prior to him coming out in which we were told we had it placed correctly). So, we do what he recommends again and then he leaves. Then, of course, the dishwasher does the same thing again. Finally, this 3rd time he is scheduled to come out, he cancels the service an hour before he is supposed to be here and comments "canceling due to nothing wrong with the product" so, Garrett Jones.. thank you for absolutely nothing. I remember fondly buying my first set of tools at Sears after I got that great (and terrible) Sears Credit card in my early Twenty's. I had those tools for 27 years until I sold them at a garage sale so I could buy...That's right NEW Sears tools! In any case I think all Sears are pretty much universal. Been to them all over the country. I'm not saying the one in Altus is better or worse than say the one in Tucson. I'm just using this store because this is where I live and its the store I frequent. I like the one in Lawton too. The 5 star is coming from a place in my heart as well as some practical experience. I personally have never dealt with a Sears employee that did not or was not willing to do whatever it took to make me happy. I have recently been given free parts for a weed eater that I broke just because they had them there and It was the easy thing to do. I've had broken tools replaced on the spot when they had them and ordered immediately when they didn't. I've had things fixed for free at several different stores. They are also one of the last or maybe the last place you can put something on layaway any time of year. In my opinion, across the country, this is the best chain store there is.

This took place in February or March 2026, and it's now early May, so unfortunately I don't remember the repairman's name, as I would definitely give him kudos for his workmanship & pleasant demeanor. The repairman who came out was very efficient & candid about what had happened & what needed to be done. It ended up being a particular fuse that sat immediately behind the control panel had failed, & it just required replacement. There was an entire litany of things that could've gone wrong with it, & he could've quoted me on several of those things, replaced them & charged me exorbitantly for the parts & labor. But... he did not. He was very honest with me & even educated me a little while he checked other parts ( mainly a different fuse on the back of the oven ) to make sure they were functional before he left. I most certainly would use Adam's Appliance Repair. Unfortunately for Yelp, I won't be needing their services in seeking an appliance repair service company - I've found who I'm sticking with hereafter!!

This greatly affected my budget as We had to eat out (family of 4) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner the entire time because I was told that we had to unplug my refrigerator until the new part came in. With the cost that I spent on the part and the food for the family I could have bought a new refrigerator. Very frustrating. The only redeeming feature is that once I was able to speak with the someone they were kind, but I didn't get a discount for all of my trouble.
